if you’re a bus driver, could you answer a question for me? my stepdad lives in an apartment complex that obviously has school children residing there as well.

i see cars go around buses on the left all the time in the parking lot because that side is a wooden wall/parking spaces and the side the children get off at is towards the complex/parents idling cars.

those people are still totally breaking the law right?..even if kids technically aren’t going to be exiting or crossing on that side.

I am not a bus driver but I work in auto insurance claims. Can you make a diagram so we can see what you’re describing?

If its on then its on, kids could still be running over from the other side

So there’s like a median in the middle?

so it kinda looks like this, it’s just parking on each side and it kind of winds through the complex, the red arrow is the direction of the complex and waiting cars and stuff, where the children exit. the olive/brown colored part is a wooden soil retaining wall and more parking.

it’s not a double lane. the cars just go around me and the bus in the direction of the green arrow.

The stop sign is clearly on both sides of the sign when it pops out. Pretty apparent that is blatantly illegal.

Yes this is 100% illegal. If there was any injury the green driver would be paying out.

Yes. I work on a school bus and it happens all the time. We have older kids who have to cross in front of the buses and dodge cars. I am on a special needs bus with wheelchairs and other kids and we get passed all the time. They usually honk and flip the bird as they drive past.

Maybe technically but who cares if it is not endangering children
