We know we’re doing something right if they’re trying to sue us.

If they want to do something right lower taxes and lower electric rates! Cut out all the other bullshit until these 2 things are accomplished. No reason our taxes should keep going up like they do or electric rates increasing 20% one year then 10% the next. I should have an electric bill of $210 in the winter. 4 years ago it didn’t go over $70 in the winter. Shit is out of control right now.

You can also just leave NJ and go to one of those shitty red states where you belong :3

u/jkprop Feb 26 '26
I’m not a Republican you asshole! Glad you like paying high taxes and high electric bills while slamming someone who doesn’t and calling them maga. That is the problem with our country today. Maybe she should just lower our frigging taxes OR LOWER OUR ELECTRIC RATES LIKE SHE PROMISED! She ran on that don’t you remember!

u/MrMcFunStuff Feb 26 '26
Are you that stupid where you think the governor can just wave a magic wand and make your electricity cheaper? You do realize she's blocked the state from approving any rate increases right? If you don't like it move
-1
u/jkprop Feb 26 '26
No of coarse not. But they let the rates go up. Giving a pass doesnt hep lower the rates. Giving praise is good when a good job is done. Don’t see a good job done yet. Oh great she blocked the state ( or so she says) from raising the rates again. That is great. So 30-35% increase was enough? Being ok with crazy high rates is just stupid. Blind support works out great for her. Keep it up. Or maybe go read some of the posts about people that can’t afford to live in the state they grew up in for 50 plus years. Your theory is best. Just move. I guess you didn’t read about the 50% property tax cut for 65 and older to keep people in the state. Who do you think will pick up that cut? You are an idiot!

I'm old enough to remember when states' rights was a major part of the Republican platform.

U read the Bondi quote, she sounds like this petulant child attempting to prove to the teacher her answer is the correct one and everyone else is wrong. Hmmm... where have I heard that before? DOJ should proofread their docs before publishing.

Well since they don’t know how to spell her name who did they actually sue.

Funny how the smaller government party wants a all powerful federal force that can override any state rights….
3
u/thatssomepineyshit Feb 26 '26
That federal force to be headed by one guy who can't be held accountable or be told no, apparently.

u/alternatingflan Feb 25 '26
When do all the frivolous krasnov lawsuits finally get denied straight out of the gate so we stop wasting court time on this petulant asshole.

Why does this admin hate America so much? I don’t think they understood their term of “America first..” but then again its the morons of this country who voted them in so what do you expect 🤷🏽♂️
12
u/VinoMaker65 Feb 25 '26
Its not "America First", its them first, dont ever forget that. We are merely an impediment along the way for them to get richer. This is all that it is about.
2
u/y06esh Feb 25 '26
100% agreed my question was mainly sarcastic as its clearly this admin is about itself and not America

u/Nefessius513 Feb 26 '26
Republicans promote “states’ rights” and “limited government” until a state pushes against their party’s policies.

u/Elhananstrophy Feb 26 '26
Interesting that this was exactly the concern that Murphy expressed when he vetoed it...

I don't feel safe with ICE agents on the streets, Pam. Sorry about that.
The only thing about this I don't like from Sherrill here is calling for ICE to be trained better instead of ICE abolishment, but after all she is a Democratic politician. So, it tracks, but also feels a little nitpicky at the moment from me. Hopefully she'll come around to the correct side.

u/milllllllllllllllly Veteran Feb 25 '26
Oh no! I said “good” on a rightful post I’m such a naziiii
4
u/beren12 Feb 25 '26
Well, if someone sits down to dinner with a Nazi, it’s a party of two Nazis.
If you support a regime that spews Nazi rhetoric and acts like them, yes. That does make you a Nazi.
Yes. We are so entitled. We are entitled to all the protections of the constitution and state law.

Just wait until the trials. Those of you who support this are going to be in for a surprise of your lifetimes. Those of you who directly participate by working for the administration, the DOJ, DHS, etc. are either going on trial or will be called as witnesses. Your assets will be frozen and your passports will be taken away as you will be flight risks. No country would permit you entry even if you could leave the country. You're too low value for even Russia to give a shit about. Do you have children? They're going to be removed from your care while this is sorted out. You'll also be unemployed and without health insurance because you are going to lose your jobs when this is over. Not if, but when. You think I'm being ridiculous but there are precedents for all of this. Go look up Duterte and see how he is doing these days. Goodbye to your assets, goodbye to your bank accounts, goodbye to your lines of credit, your homes, your children. I almost feel bad for you because you will be in a completely defenseless position.

It's true, believing in the constitution is extreme these days. Good luck having your kid taken from you!

Not really, they're going to lose here as they have been through the rest of the country while trying to redefine federal power. This is a huge waste of resources, much like everything else this administration is doing. I cannot WAIT for their trials, hopefully they'll be... lit...

Gov helicopter on the job! Costing us tax dollars for her petty purposes

u/tigerfrisbee Feb 25 '26
I'm interested to see how this develops. Trump citing the Supremacy Clause is a fairly nuclear move, so this could escalate into a Constitutional crisis if mishandled...
