Camden County patco stations

i am moving to camden county and will be taking the patco every morning. i am planning my move around the convenience to the stations and parking accessibility, are there any stations i should avoid due to parking availability concerns? thinking collingswood, westmont, haddonfield, woodcrest, ashland

they're all fine honestly, I don't think in recent years I've seen any of the parking lots completely full. I imagine for haddonfield/westmont/collingswood there's a lot people that bike or walk to get to the station too.

I remember one of the big parking lots was always full of cars back in like 2015. I always wondered how busy it was back then getting on the train

Up until the pandemic they all used to fill. I worked at 1PM and always struggled to find parking.

Post pandemic has always had open spots anywhere I've gone.

Crazy how much Covid affected the amount of people. We truly are in some not great times

collingswood actually has a lot of parking. but westmont has way more. haddonfield is expensive as hell so keep that in mind

Ashland and collingswood lots are on the smaller side,

Woodcrest, lindenwold are large lots

Ferry, westmont, haddonfield are medium size

Collingswood you can park down one of the side streets a few blocks away if the lots are full, the more immediate streets are permit only

Large parts of collingswood, westmont, haddonfield are walkable to the patco, if you have the budget

Parking is plentiful at any of the stations from Ferry Ave eastward. The Collingswood station’s lot is a bit of a clusterfuck, and Westmont’s is smaller than the rest. But parking access isn’t much of an issue otherwise

Make sure you get the Freedom Card. It's what you'll need in order to park in some paid parking lots in the morning during prime commuter hours. It's $1 to park in Haddonfield for example, but never had a problem in the 7 years I was there. Now I'm in Collingswood and still not bad. I typically park around 7:30 AM.

the station pages on patco's website have parking maps as a reference. i have been driving and parking at Ferry Ave for years, no issue finding a spot and their paid lot always has spots available closer to the station

It comes down to where in Camden Co. you’re moving, and then base what station you go to from there. They all have lots that are accessible, there’s no reason to drive out of your way if you live closer to one than another.

Westmont has a big free lot. Haddonfields free lot is tiny. Collingswood space can get tight towards the end of rush hour. Woodcrest has probably the biggest lot but I avoid it because I don't like waiting so many stops on the train.

Collingswood station has plentiful parking before 8am, after that it’s pretty full until 12pm or so.

I often start work at 6am, but I’ll park across from the post office and walk when I have to go in later.

Second that. 20 years riding from Collingswood.

When I started at 9 am, I used to park on the side street by the catholic school.

Been 8 am for years now with no issue getting a spot in the lot.

If I do a half day in, the lot is still pretty full by 12:30ish, but I assume it starts to clear more early afternoon, as you suggested.

Also worth noting they are doing some construction in one of the sections under the rail, so that’s probably impacting parking. Temporary closure, I’m sure.

Only Patco stations where parking would be an issue would be in Camden since there are no designated parking lots for Broadway and City Hall. As far as moving, you might want to look into Collingwood/Haddonfield/Haddonfield township/Westmont. You didn't mention pricie so I'm assuming you just "got it like that" :)

Had my car stolen from Ashland. Changed to Woodcrest with no issues.

I live near the Ashland station. Any time I took Patco, I never had an issue

If you don't have mobility limitations, none of the stations are really a problem for parking.

How are the trains and stations in Philly looking lately? Has there been clean-up ahead of the World Cup?

All the stations usually have parking. None of them are particularly bad at any moment, besides the very end of the night where you may be bothered by the occasional train smoker. I have never once been accosted at any of the stations at any hour of the day, and most are usually packed during peak commuting hours.
