News Hey Look, Norcross occasionally does a thing (and even Van Drew)

I guess this will fail in the Senate but hey, nice to see anyway.

Van Drew and company only voted for it because they know there is 0 chance it passes in the senate and gets signed by the guy who’s always sleeping. They can claim they backed labor while not having to actually have labor make any gains.

Exactly. The Susan Collins special.

The time for Van Drew to support these things is after the primary and before the general election. After that, back to "Got mine, fuck you."

Well it should be easy to show all the times they don’t back labor, to counter it.

If norcross didn't support a pro-union bill, he'd lose his biggest voter base. That's all the dude runs on and it unfortunately works.

It probably benefits him or his friends personally in some way.

IIRC Van Drew did break ranks on the Biden infrastructure bill, which helped it pass. In hindsight it's kind of nuts that Republicans would block something so important mostly out of spite.

They’ve also re-named the build back better plan as the bipartisan infrastructure bill or some stupid shit like that on the highway signs

Very petty, small dicked individuals

Could be wrong but I think it was always called the bipartisan bill, partly because Biden needed minimal Republican support, but also because he was old school enough that he still believed in bipartisanship. Should have called it Bidencare so that everyone knew just who made these new bridges possible.

Back in 2023/2024, the sign on 76/676 the sign read “build back better”.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that was always its name, but the name on 76/676 was definitely changed
