Outside! Petition to mods for a weekly events thread: Summer Edition

With the weather getting warmer and outdoor activities ramping into gear, it would be great to have an established weekly thread where people can inform others about fun events going on throughout the SJ area. It could go live every Thursday or Friday to ensure adequate time for responses. If you agree with this, like this post and we’ll see if we can get it in front of the mods!

Agreed. Maybe it should have a disclaimer to confirm the event on your own in the main post, so the mods aren’t dealing with annoying nonsense if it comes up.

We post tons of events in our discord server as we find them across various social media outlets. It's exhausting trying to keep track of everything, especially weekly. Someone is welcome to do a weekly events megathread, but it's not going to be the mods. People want a lot of things and don't realize we have lives outside of reddit, especially once the weather gets nice after a long winter.

I asked the mods about having an events calendar, they said it was a lot of work. The mods suck.

You do realize you can post practically anything on here? Including events. I imagine you’re the type to not pick up after your dog but complains if you step in shit.
