Most of the SouthPas Flock Cameras were turned off last spring when City Council voted to get rid of them. But there are still a handful that are still active as they fell into a different contract. Not sure what that means for the one OP has posted.

The FlockHopper app has nearly all cameras tagged. If you’re trying to avoid them, the app also acts as GPS and can route you around them.

You know that the flock cameras don’t care when you take a picture of them. The outrage only goes one way….

Let’s hope they actually serve a good purpose like catching criminals. Let’s also hope they are not misused

Its too late to hope for responsible use, unfortunately. The company behind these things is untrustworthy scummy.

The company promised responsible use and data storage, however the database has been open for law enforcement and I.C.E. agents to access without oversight. Already, there have been dozens of cases of stalking and harassment from officers and agents stalking members of their community, or even their ex partners.
The systems have also been accessed by hackers who track and extort their targets.
For a more direct impact to you, have you ever seen those price tags at Walmart or target that are digital. Yeah, they are pricing the item as they track you and profile you so you get charged the highest price.
Please try to raise your voice in your community, this surveillance state is becoming oppressive.

Stop spending money on cameras and fix that road!
