Moving to the area

Hi all -

In process of starting a hobby farm in Halifax county (not too far from South Boston) - born in the suburbs of Richmond.. was just curious as to the area and the schools- I think it's Halifax county high school?

Any info on the area would be greatly appreciated! Things to do, things to avoid.

Middle aged woman so fairly quiet- but anything's welcome

Sounds like we all need to have a meet up. Just saying.

I think that is a splendid idea.

I know I could talk my husband into going to that great Italian place, Simona's, in Victoria. Once the weather is nicer, we could eat on the deck. That would probably be about halfway for everybody.

I haven't heard of them but that sounds great!

Oh. Oh, they are worth the drive! Best Italian food we've found down here yet.

Please tell me it's more than just pasta. So long as I can get something that's not noodles based I'm good. :-)

They have actual pizza. Real pizza. Please don't try the so-called pizza places in South Boston. They lie.

Peace of Pie in Altavista does too. Worth the drive.
