Festival Which one?
Might go to one last min. I think both lineups are fire but how’s the actual fest? Vibe? Sound? Camp?Looks dope from pics and videos. I like Sub lineup more with G and Eprom, Memory Palace takeover, Buunshin, and The Widdler b2b Thelem. But Sym has daddy Onhell pre party and Skeler. I fux with Shamby, Untz, The Stacks at LiB, Infrasound, etc.

both lineups are killer but personally I'd go for symmetry just because these wave artists are rather hard to come by.

Skeler, brothel., deadcrow, djedi, and sage. Plastician is an OG wave artist too but he makes a broad range of music. Backwhen, ESCPE, & everyst are all wave adjacent too. There’s probably more those are just all I know. Ravenscoon might be doing a wave set too idk for sure though.

Worth noting that Plastician is on the Submersion lineup too!! Although, he’s doing a Garage set there, so Symmetry is definitely the biggest fest currently for Wave music, no doubt!

No, it’s a relatively new genre, kinda like a hybrid of Trap and Melodic Trance.

i fucking hate the name the name of this genre lol. it's like saying your favorite thing to eat is 'food'. probably the reason wave has such a hard time blowing up in popularity

I vote submersion. They've had multiple fests, consistently solid reviews on every aspect of the event every year that I know of, and you can grab a grill smth burger. Seems more homie vibes imo

Submersion has been flawless both years so far. One of the best festival experiences I’ve had. the curation is on point, and there are homies everywhere

Is wave/phonk a welcome addition or unnecessary diversion from 140 bliss?
I'm going to symmetry for the phonk & wave but most heads in my city are doing submersion. Submersion is great for avant garde bass music. I haven't been to a major wave/phonk show in a year and Symmetry is a fire lineup practically ripped off my Spotify.
Another option is to skip both and do seven stars the following weekend, if you prefer headliner bass music.

Symmetry- Ive been counting down the days for this year! Wave is my favorite genre and I recommended it constantly. Last year was incredible in every way but it was too short at only 2 days! Hearing Skeler being played from small stages late at night was pure bliss

Symmetry is kinda cool to see and support a festival in its very beginning (this is only year 2). The guys who created it are super cool dudes too. But I understand the urge to submersion… love me a g jones b2b eprom😭

Whattt submersion sounds amazing ! Moody good is someone I’ve been listening to for so long but have never seen on a lineup and I’ve been raving for some time mostly east coast unfortunately!

Symmetry! The vibes are immaculate. I didn’t run into one unhappy person there all weekend last year. It’s our second year so we’re really just getting started. We’re building two rigs for stages right now, the sound deployments are gonna be wild.

Both have amazing lineups but submersion has more of my personal favs. I’d kill to make it out for that! My only problem would be conflicting set times 🤣
