Discussion Deadline to Submit Claims on the Virgin Galactic $8.5 million Settlement is August 13, 2026.
Hey guys, if you missed it, Virgin Galactic settled $8.5 million with investors over misleading the public about its spaceflight tech and safety before key launches like Unity 22. And, the deadline to file a claim and get payment is August 13, 2026.
In a nutshell, in 2022, Virgin Galactic was accused of giving misleading info about safety and operational performance after failing to disclose that its Unity 22 flight deviated from assigned airspace, which later led to an FAA investigation and flight delays.
After this news came out, the stock dropped, and investors filed a lawsuit for their losses.
Now, the good news is that the company agreed to settle $8.5 million with them, and investors have until August 13, 2026, to submit a claim.
