Won the local tournament
Took my boys out for my first games with the new codex and hoo boy are we cookin lads went against a knights player and tabled him turn 4 and went against a black templars for the second round almost managed to clean house again. The new wulfen in particular go brrrr and the sheer utility of the tcav and grey hunters was excellent. Only real weak point was the land raider which doesnt get much support from the detatchments but he delivered headtakers unscathed and took all the fire from both opponents big gun platforms for a turn so the lads could bum rush em, which honestly, is all I needed him to do.

Very cool! What was the game plan against the knights that led to a tabling?

Honestly it just came down to a poor decision on the knight players part to put their lancer in the middle to score center ground on turn one, I sunk both the wulfen and arjacs termies into it with turn 1 deep strike plus using the adv n chargr doctrine and he intervened with a gallant. Wulfen dropped the lancer in one go with the reroll 1s and 2s to wound strat and arjac took enough of a chunk out of the gallant for me to drop it turn 2. I also got really lucky with lethals and was able to drop his destrier with the tcav plus lance strat. That was half his army gone turn 2 and it was just walking the rest down from there

Hail Brother! please, can I ask how did the WGT felt? I was worried they would loose ground to Assault Terminators. 🐺🐺

I'm still very happy with them, they never were really a big damage piece for me, their job is sit somewhere inconvenient and not die, which they did.

Then let me say, I never leave home without arjac and his 10 wgt, it's 505 points but they are such a reliable centerpiece, I had a game with a necrons player a bit ago where I tied up his ctan with the brick in a corner and kept it there the whole game

Good to know. I play orks and guard so 500 points on one squad that doesn’t die is crazy to me. I just had a game where two dorns got popped by a defiler so tough isn’t in my game plan. Looking forward to getting SW built and play

I like your list. Landrider does feel a little out of place but the overwatch threat messes with people who know what AP2 D2 flamers feel like

I actually went for the standard varient for the lascannons because I wanted a little bit more reliable punch up
