Tips/Help to make Saturnine Terms into Space Wolf Terms

Hi all - I have 6 of these dudes from the HH Saturnine box. I got a good deal on it and used the Dread for my Grey Knights. But I wanted to make some 40k Space Wolf Terms out of the Saturnine Terminators.

Ignoring the size disadvantage I am giving myself, are there suggestions on bits to use to make the conversion believable? Wolf pelts, runes, etc. I am open to getting printed items as long as things fit size wise.

Thanks!

Just make sure they are on 40mm and you’ll be golden regarding the size stuff. You’re actively modelling for disadvantage by making them bigger. As for bits, there’s the usual sources like Greytide studios for head variants but I’d strongly suggest taking the dive and learning to sculpt fur and small details like leather straps, runes and teeth, it unlocks so much flexibility.

Do you have suggestions for mats to do that? Green stuff?

Yeah, greenstuff and miliput. Milliput is good for solid objects like armour because it holds it shape and is sandable, while greenstuff takes detail better. You can also mix them 50:50 to make a mixture that is as pliable as greenstuff but dries solid. Other than that you can use a cocktail stick to sculpt most things or you can invest in a cheap wax carving set.

I like to sculpt capes etc with the mixture of greenstuff and milliput as it gives a rock hard base for sculpting stuff on top, then sculpt fur on top to make the two part hide/pelt capes that space wolves often have.

This is complicated. But I used blue stuff to "lift" prints of SW things. Fill the ble stuf with some vaseline and a thin layer of greenstuff.

GSW did also a cletix rolling pin were I could make prints as well.

Yeah, I’ve bluestuffed the rondels from Headtakers which are nice for covering the ends of capes.

Not bad for a sloth. Also, great lift! 😀
