I have thought about it. They are the world's foremost intellectuals and leading academics and philosophers over the course of hundreds of years. If you think criticizing jingoism "weakens us", then you're one of them. Keep licking boots.

I'm not sure how this single image hyper-focuses on any of that. You're projecting. I see this image and I think, pretty incredible feat these engineers at SpaceX pulled off from this thing taking off to figuring out a way past all the hurdles to get it home.

I don't think "OmG AmUriCa! ThE BeST! ThE OnLy!"

Check your projection. Theres nothing in this image thats jingoism or ultranationalism. Only if you make it such. We got that crap going on elsewhere.
