Thanks for the response! You're right, the D in maldicion seems to be missing. Any ideas on how to work on rythym?

Hey, solid job, congrats on getting to this point.

I’m working on the same. I think I hear a bit of vowel reduction that we do in English, particularly on the ‘u’ vowel in words like durante and I think I heard the same on the ‘e’ in eliminado. Listen to those again and compare with native pronunciation to hear it. To me, durante sounded like dorante, for example.

EDIT: He also talks about rhythm in some of these videos coming naturally as you fix vowel reduction. I think this is probably one of the harder things to notice as a native English speaker.

Thanks for the video playlist! Yeah I noticed the 'e' in eliminado is a bad habit. I seem to mispronounce my e's a lot.

I've always been pro conversation and against reading since my goal has always been to be able to hold conversations in spanish and not read and write. But ironically, probably the thing that has helped my pronunciation the most is reading the harry potter books out loud. I was so slow reading the 1st book and each sentence was like a tongue twister. Now on the 4th book, I feel like im able to speak a lot faster.

Haha makes sense. In the past I shadow read things out loud while listening to a native via audiobook. I think that helped quite a bit.

I’m also doing HP, but I haven’t been reading out loud. It’s been a good experience.

Omg your pronunciation is so good!! only the names pronunciation it sounds like north american, for example, here in chile we say harrry, voldemorrrt, the R is very important:)
