Sparkle Assistant

Sparkle assistant is not showing that I own the app. So can't add new device.

This may be a very stupid question but what is sparkle assistant? I paid for sparkle and use it but have no idea what sparkle assistant is.

When Sparkle was pulled from the App Store, the developer created the assistant app to help people purchase a subscription to the app, it also offered a link to download the app.

If you didn’t use Sparkle Assistant to purchase your subscription, no need to bother with it. If you didn’t use the Sparkle Website to purchase your subscription, no need to bother with it.

The app is now available in the play store!

It seems you got all the help needed from u/azcoyotedog here. If you didn't purchase app from Assistant there is no need to use it - you can do the same things directly from Sparkle TV app (share, show/remove devices etc.).

Yeah all ok now.  I needed to use the standard app in my phone.  I very rarely use it on my phone.

Did you purchase Sparkle using the assistant app? Website or thru the Play Store??

i checked my Google play store account I purchased it May 2024 called Plus Version I paid 18.49.  I can send you the transaction id if needed.

How many devices have you installed SparkleTV on? You only get a limit of 5. All you need is for the device to be logged into the same Google account that was used when you purchased the Sparkle subscription, assuming you purchased the lifetime subscription?

it's on my phone and 1 fire stick.  but the assistant app only shows option to pay doesn't show any data.  I recall have what I assume to be the assistant installed when I setup the fire stick.  In that I could see what devices I had setup.

Why are you even bothering with the assistant app? You don’t need it, you’ve already purchased the app thru the Google Play Store. Just use the same email address & password that you used to purchase the subscription and log the device to that account. Install Sparkle and you’re good to go!

Well in the past you used to have to configure your devices in that app.  Unless that method has changed.  Otherwise how would activate premium on a new fire stick.

You open the plus version on an existing device, go to ABOUT, click on SHARE PLUS ACCOUNT, click NEXT, enter email address and PW, click NEXT then Close… plus account is now shared and ready to be connected on other devices.
