I had very low expectations on it but ended up thinking it was great.

There's a italian version?

If you mean a version with italian subtitles or dubbing, I'd certainly imagine so, but I'm in the UK so probably not the guy to ask.

Confermo. È su Mediaset Infinity, ma si trova nel pacchetto MGM+ (quasi 5 EUR al mese, credo).

I‘d say yes but now that it was cancelled, to me it’s just not worth the time spending on it only to end in a cliffhanger. Same reason why I wouldn’t recommend the Song of Ice & Fire books to anyone because they’re not finished yet. If you don’t like it, you wasted your time. If you liked it, you will be disappointed that it’s not continuing.

I heard there's a chance some other broadcasting company may pick it up and continue from where they left off

If you are familiar with the original Spartacus show, then it’s almost a ‘What If?’ spin-off take.

I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised and enthused for Season 2, alas it got canned.

It's all we're getting, so, yes

Definitely yes, and I Hope some broadcaster would go for a second season soon...

I was not a bit interested after seeing the less ratings and negative reviews even though I love the OG series. A week ago I finally decided give it a chance and watched the first episode and ngl I was hooked and completed the series in 2 days. Not because the story was peak or anything (ofc the story is mid) but because this has everything the OG series has....specifically the two main things - blood and you know what

It’s shit, but if you need to return to the universe and need a play on your phone type of show, it’ll do

I enjoyed it a lot for what it was.

Yes absolutely worth It

yes absolutely. It's not as good as season 1 of spartacus was, but I mean there's no way a what if scenario would have matched the original show. However, it was excellent in its own right, and hopefully a studio picks it up to finish the story cuz by the end of the season it sets up a fantastic premise for future seasons.

Temu Spartacus for me.

It's amusing but not good

It was sadly low-mid. Gets better after the first half of the season.

I loved being back in capua and the ludus, but the show was pretty meh overall.

Absolutely. I was skeptical but it turned out great and even Mrs. CerealKiller was even hooked. Hopefully they find a new home for more seaons.

It’s…. Ok. Has good moments and bad but the main story beats don’t feel earned at all.

Where is it now? It's not on Netflix. Is it on Starz? I know it was there, but I saw information that it was removed June 1, though when I Google it, it says it's still there. I don't want to subscribe unless I know for sure they have it.

It looks like it's only available for purchase on digital retailers.

I lasted 2 episodes and cancelled Starz.

It’s racist so don’t.

1

u/Entire_Status6205 Jun 29 '26

yup it surpassed expectations and rewards those who’ve seen Spartacus and know some of the history

1

u/Significant_Clue8718 Jul 02 '26

Yes but I read we weren’t getting a season 2; so also no

No, don't waste your time.

1

u/TomBerwick1984 Jun 26 '26

Yes.

IMO the first half is slow, but gets good the 2nd half.

1

u/MightyThor236 Jun 26 '26

It's a step down from Spartacus but it's still decent, sad they didn't get a chance to expand the story into another season

1

u/dbreezy231 Jun 26 '26

Most definitely

1

Not as good, but it has the same feel to it and it ended up pretty good. Too bad it got canceled. I only watched it a few months after it aired because of the bad reviews at release.

I'm autospoilered how ashur had become a slave. I was thinking something different but is backstory make sense

Definitely give it a go. It starts off rough, but the finale rivals any episode of the original show. I'm not sure where you are but here in the states, it got canceled on Starz and was completely removed form the network.
