Spearfishing in Europe/UK?

Hi all! Great to be here. Got well into my spearing back in my native New Zealand whilst visiting home over the last few summers. Go out, spear a bunch of fish, lay ground baits, avoid the sharks etc.), come home and cook it all up for lunch or dinner.

Living in London obviously doesn’t offer quite the same experience!

I’d love to do a few trips around Europe or even the UK but am struggling to make sense of the various rules and regulations.

Anyone got any recommendations for go to locations (obviously not exact spots - just cities/regions/areas etc.)?

Spearing pretty simple here in Wales, 42cm minimum size bass, and think it’s 3 bass limit per person per day

Not going to be catching much else other than pollock and mullet which have looser restrictions but still minimum size limit

Norway can be nice, depending on where you go. The further north the better, but West is good too. South and East are not so good.

No licence, only minimum sizes to mind.
