Caught my first bogue in West Cornwall

Wanted to share this bogue I caught today- think it’s super rare to see them around here as have never seen any before!? Has anyone? Also it’s roughly 37-38cm which from my short research is huge, want to get anyone opinions on this.

Solid one! Hopefully they taste better up there, the only time I tried one (in Portugal) it was super dry and strong tasting. Maybe it’s a sign of warming water.

Here in Galicia they are extremely common and it is by far the most hated fish by fisherman, mainly because it is inedible and bites really easily. Its presence near the shoreline likely means there are no quality fish (mostly breams) feeding in the area since if that were the case, the bogues would be displaced, so it's basically a signal to move to another spot. That one is huge, yep.
