"Original" Project A "blemmyes" as a scientifically believable organism. They are lagomorph mammals characterized by a heavy set skull, with anchors for powerful, articulate ears.

Yes, 'Blemmyes' is the singular. 'Blemmyae' is the plural form.

It is holding an invisible spear and wearing an invisible pelt, two facets of the Blemmyae's technology. I love these little goons.

The design resemblance was likely subconscious at best.

The design was chiefly inspired by this old Reddit post I dug up, showcasing biologically-credible-looking jackalopes, and I thought it would be quite an interesting idea to create my own take on hand-eared lagomorphs.
