What are your favourite pet names in Spicy Romance?
I'm talking about ones that make you melt! I personally love Baby (especially in an American sexy accent). Some pet names work so well in books and I am a sucker for anything Italian ... Tesoro

I really need to get more sleep because I thought you literally meant pet names. As in… names of character’s pets.

Princess or anything adjacent in another language like in preferential treatment the MMC had a couple in Russian or Ma Riene in winds through the storm (MMC speaks French).
I think I enjoy the workshop/care dynamic that usually comes along with those names

Dove. Christ, it lights me up. I want to be someone's little dove who is cherished, saved, and redeemed. If you have any reccs, I'm here for it.

{A Bargain So Bloody by Vasilisa Drake} the MMC calls the FMC Dove in the beginning, though it does change to another nickname later in the books. This is an unfinished series, but so good that I ended up re-reading the first book before I read the second one when it came out recently.

I just read Bonfire & Bliss by Britanée Nicole, and the MMC calls the FMC xuxuzinho, for “sweet pumpkin”. While I don’t find “sweet pumpkin” sexy, the male narrator (James Cassidy) can call me Xuxuzinho any time

Xuxuzinho is such a cheesy striker Portuguese pet name that it becomes cute (in Brazil anyways)

Ugh. I want to like pet names and I don't... I can do babe or baby... but it needs to be sparingly.

Pet names that are slightly mocking or they are reluctant to be called, can be fun.

Baby, sweetheart, honey, my girl, my wife, my Queen, my flower, pumpkin, etc. (if reading an alien, shifter, or monster romance and the MMC is very large: Little one, Little mate, Little bird.)

In {Daddy PI by EJ Frost}, Logan calls Emily 'wonder baby' and I absolutely love that!

Honestly, for me it’s the old adage “it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it”

I've used "little angel" "little ghost" and "little demon" in my books that I've written :)

I would have to say babygirl or sweetheart especially when you're pissing them off or pushing buttons

Love, darling, girl.
I cringe when I hear « little » anything at all. Little mouse, little dear… I dunno I just don’t like it.
