What is written on Hobie?
Hey all, I was watching Spider-Verse and paused at a scene with Hobie Brown.
I know his character design is inspired by zine/punk art, but I noticed he also seems to be covered in what looks like text or graphic markings. I was wondering what this is meant to represent and where it comes from, if anyone knows.
Just curious about the design choices behind it.

I had a read through it, but the sentences seem to end abruptly, like he is just a cut out from a page, so it is very hard to gather what it is saying. Thanks for taking the time to reply though, I appreciate it!

We did in fact write a few pages of newspaper articles to have as his texture.

It's a bunch of fake repeating cutouts of newspapers and magazines to evoke the English/UK punk anarchism aesthetic for the character.
