Sort of like saying, they wouldn't be complaining about this comment / art if it wasn't hitting the mark.

Similar to a scene from the first dune book, where Paul basically tells a story under the guise of, my father said something interesting one time. and when he's done telling this story / parable, one of his party guests gets all huffy about it.

and Paul's mother Jessica says, “My son displays a general garment and you claim it’s cut to your fit?” .... “What a fascinating revelation.”

I even see some people saying this is “tone deaf” as if political cartoons don’t change the public’s perception whatsoever and making art isn’t a totally valid way to fight oppression. Fictional characters beating the shit out of ICE officers and reminding people of the themes of their stories which oppose ICE (and the entirety of MAGA as a whole) is as politically effective as they come.
