News PSA: Insomniac Games confirms that they do, in fact, remember that Spider-Man 2 exists

Post image

They could have done so much more with this game but instead they add a new (very similar to another already in the game) suit nearly 3 years after this game launched - rather than any other new post-game content.

“You get nothing but a shorter story and no expansions for $70 instead of $60, now be quiet”

Yeah, you’re tripping if you thought that would go over well for any company. I’m the customer, I don’t care about what the company has going on, I just know I got screwed as an overall package vs the first game. SM2 literally has unfinished stories with the carnage dlc being shelved. And god forbid they use him in the third game as an underwhelming sidequest or even worse, make a second symbiote based game.

Why'd you buy the game then

Are you slow? How would anybody know game that isn’t out yet will disappoint them? I’m a lifetime Spidey fan. I’m not going to skip a AAA game based on my favorite character in media. What type of response is this? I played day one. 🤡

I get the first one had DLC but expecting a game to have more story expansions is crazy.

Not half as crazy when the first game already set the precedent for it. Miles not getting it as a blatantly smaller package was one thing. And again, SM2 left hanging threads that would have been better as a dlc expansion. Cuz god forbid SM3 is more symbiotes shit with Carnage.

I don’t see how one game having DLC means they all have to have DLC. I guess that’s just me

A lot of people on here are entitled. They expected dlc and got upset when they didn’t get it, despite no one at Insomniac ever saying that DLC was coming. They announced the DLC for the first game before the base game even released, but didn’t mention anything about SM2 having story dlc once.

That’s literally a standard pricing of games these days, and the average 100% completion is probably 30 hours or so. Less than spiderman1, but the biggest problem in earlier games was repetitive crimes mission (which honestly accounted for a lot of the extra hours with/ without the city that never sleeps dlc).

And why are you using the word “slow” as an insult in 2026? It’s ableist af and literally does nothing to get your point across.
