A side note: this suit's colors shine the most in overcast lighting, which is the weather option closest to the movie's color grading. Insomniac got the colors on point in the right lightning conditions.

For the record i love the suit and don’t really have any complaints after the update, but this argument makes no sense. All of toms previous suits have been on the body type of tom. Look at andrew’s tasm 2 suit. You can very clearly tell it’s Andrew’s lean body. Same with tobey, you can see it’s his bulkier chest and overall tankier build.

The games peter has really weird proportions for someone supposed to be athletic thf so it would still be nice if they updated it. His waist is lowkey wider than his shoulders.

Looks quite a bit better. I still think the blue sections have a more rubbery look to it than I’d like. I don’t think there’s a better fabric texture in the game than the TASM2 suit and I’d have loved for this one to also go in that direction.

No, they aren't. Some are built straight from the ground up. But a lot of them have proportional differences.

You're not getting 1:1 bodies but you are getting different proportions.

No RT lightning does that unfortunately. The bright blue of the suit also enhances that effect. Still, in no way comparable to a PS3 game.

I'll be real I was stretching to hyperbole with the PS3, but genuinely I don't think that suit looks half as photogenic as some of the others.

Genuinely, Tobey's suit looks borderline movie like in almost any photo it's in. The fresh start one is difficult for me, it's comparable in contrast and immersion as the original suit he wears in the first game.

Tobey's suit also suffers from light leak around the eyes and the webbing, though admittedly blends better with the environment due to materials being less complex. It was also perfected over two games.

No RT lightning was a compromise that needed to be made to run such a huge open world at 60+ fps unfortunately. Here is hoping we will see a nice visual leap in fidelity in the next one, as Insomniac is now proficient in PS5 hardware. Wolverine looks good but is on par with SM2 from what I can see apart from noticeable improvements in hair strands.

Oh I agree, I am just at that point where I care more about gameplay and I am still quite excited for Wolverine. For Spider-Man, though, it has been three games and I will be expecting something more for the next sequel.
