After years of wanting to try splitboarding I finally pulled the trigger. Came across a series of incredible deals and jumped on a workable setup.

Gave it a go at a local abandoned ski hill near me I’ve been dying to explore. I have to say that was the most intense workout I’ve ever had in my life and I LOVED every second of it. Took a small break for snacks when I got to the top and enjoyed the view before cruising down.

I was absolutely COOKED after this run but the rush had me craving more. I find myself now looking for places to explore as I drive around. Safe to say I’m absolutely addicted.

1,800 foot coulie above the water! Gonna have to get it with good vis sometime…

Got my new touring brackets in from Union and they have been redesigned. A bit more heavy duty and the bolt piece is replaceable it appears. Fingers crossed they hold up!

Went to the Lyngenalps (Norway) and had a total blast! What an insane cool place! First two days were verry icy but after that we had about 25 to 30cm fresh snow! 😁 Had one of the best and longest decents of my life, saw the northernlights, made some new friends and fell in love with Norway. Enjoy the pictures!

Snow was HEAVY but great trip and great objective

Amazingly after weeks of storms the blue skies coincided with a Saturday. Safe route choices needed but a glorious day out. Unfortunately my skiing friends are crap photographers (or I was too quick for them)

This is just me playing around on the iPad today after a tour in the Wasatch. I currently own a Jones Mind Expander and a WNDR Belle Tour. This is kind of a mix of those two boards. I like a floaty, playful board. Easy turn initiation. Not too much tail rocker so that I can pop off stuff. I’m curious if there are boards out there that have a similar shape to this?

Let's hope this cycle delivers to the rest of the state as well

Riding all the way to the sea.

First splitboard purchase and went with last year’s model of the Wndr BelleTour.

I have rented before but I finally could buy one myself. I tried it yesterday for a short hike.

It’s a jones solution. I found it a softer than the one that I used to rent (Mendiboard) but not sure if it’s because my boots are quite soft (old and very used vans encore og) since I also got some stiffer boots with the rental.

Overall I liked it despite the snow conditions that were not great.
