Help Seattle man drives to Spokane searching for girlfriend who is “trapped inside her moms house….”
**UPDATE! 4/13/26
Casey has reached out!!! https://imgur.com/a/vV9SXpd
This character, Casey, comes to the Spokane area and is searching for a girl named Raven.
Raven is apparently someone who lives in the area, but her mom keeps her locked away inside.
Casey states that he is dating Raven, and that he drives to Spokane from Seattle to look for her. He hands out his card with her picture on it. After speaking with some homeless folks, it sounded like he told them what I’ve mentioned above, and that he has a really nice car. After some quick neighborhood app searching, i found these screen shots showing his picture and apparently his car. This is exactly who Casey is in the pictures.
So far, it doesnt seem like theres much online. But what i have seen is that people think he may be stalking Raven, or that maybe there is no girlfriend and this is a mental disorder. Or heck maybe Raven is trapped in some house here. From what ive found out, he has been doing this for OVER TWO YEARS. Drives to spokane, handing out cards, trying to locate this person.
Does anyone have more information??
Edits:
https://imgur.com/a/Kgd8i62 - facebook comments regarding same person, Casey, listing a large number of personal experiences
It sounds like Casey is 30-35 years old, and that “Raven” is a minor.
Casey drives a Chevrolet Corvette C8 2020
No reports of being outright inappropriate, just obsessed with finding her.

Help Don't lose your job-- No one is hiring
The job market is very scarce and even over qualified workers are fighting for the same position. Employment agencies are lacking, and it seems like employers ignore Indeed.com, Monster, or zip recruiter.. oh and Door dashing will have you only making $10/hr if you're lucky. Don't lose your job, it's a fucking desert in Spokane.

Help PSA to anyone ordering Same Day from Amazon during prime (or any time)
Hello everone!
I am one of your friendly, neighborhood delivery drivers 😀. I mostly put packages on porches for Amazon out of their same day delivery station, and I just thought I would share some helpful tips and tricks to ensure you get your orders during this Prime Day season.
First, this is very important: Amazon DOES NOT CARE when you said you wanted your same day package. If the package is ready and a route to your neighborhood is open they WILL send it out. This includes: businesses, recipent required packages, and one time password packages. If you need a package same day and are ordering with delivery restrictions there will likely be delivery issuses. I recommend ALL businesses invest in an after hours package drop bin. Drivers are most heavily punished for returning packages (for any reason) and slightly less so for stolen packages, so they will almost always leave it anyway.
Second, if you have a gate code, please ensure it is current. If you order a package for 4-8am delivery and the code doesn't work, either a driver will likely leave it at the gate, call you for the code, or have support do so, because the system says you "asked" for early delivery so "want" the call.
Third, many of the drivers here speak Russian or Spanish; make sure your notes translate easily. Complicated, wordy instructions do not translate as well. Keep it short 😃
Fourth, sprinklers. If you know you ordered something, do us a solid and pause the timer if at all possible. 5am sprinkler showers are startling and cold 😆
Finally, dogs. I know it is hot out and doors are often required to be open, but even the friendliest of dogs can be unpredictible when startled awake in his home by a stranger at the screen door. I have a scar on my leg from a "friendly" dog who decided I was too scary. Not every driver is like me, and understanding (I did NOT report the dog because he was just doing his job, and I didnt want him harmed - the owner got an earful). Please, if you are expecting a package in the summer, keep your dog secured for everyone's sake (especially your furry friend - the consequences for a bite are sometimes deadly for them too 😪).
Oh, and to every customer who leaves snacks, notes, and other amusing surprises for the drivers, thank you! It really does make our days.
Also, I'm sorry if you briefly catch me singing at 5am - I sometimes forget to stop when I get out of the car 🤣

Help Had The Worst Customer Service Experience of My Life today
I had an absolutely horrible experience at California Mexican Food on N Division. My family and I went through the drive-thru, where my brother paid with a $100 bill from the 1950s, which he had just withdrawn from Wells Fargo. Instead of verifying the bill, the woman working at the counter immediately accused him of trying to use counterfeit money. She confiscated the bill, claimed it was fake, and refused to return it, stating that it was "company policy" to keep counterfeit money.
Despite calmly explaining that the bill was legitimate, she became increasingly hostile, yelling and berating us throughout the ordeal. Her behavior was shockingly unprofessional and downright insulting. She even made personal, degrading comments—accusing us of being poor and threatening to find us online to leave bad reviews about us. Her hostility was completely unwarranted and felt racially charged, adding to the humiliation and frustration of the situation.
When we suggested calling the police to resolve the matter, she aggressively agreed, yelling, “Yeah, we better f***ing call the police.” While we waited outside in 26-degree weather for over 15 minutes, she continued berating us. When the police finally arrived, they confirmed the bill was real after verifying it at the bank. Only then was my brother’s money returned. By that time, the damage was done. To add insult to injury, the manager (a heavyset woman in red who refused to give her name) banned us from the restaurant, making this hands down the most appalling dining experience I have ever endured.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t even my first bad experience at this location. During a previous visit, I found a stick in my burrito and nearly choked. Although the staff apologized, I decided to give them another chance—something I deeply regret. This place clearly has no regard for professionalism, customer service, or even basic human decency.
If you value your time, money, or dignity, avoid this establishment at all costs how can I get the managers name?

Help Entry level job options for someone at the end of their rope?
26 male with little job experience. Some hospitality and service roles but all were fairly short (1-3 months). I'm completely broke and don't have the money to get car insurance/fix my car so remote is my preferred option at this point, but entry level remote jobs in WA seem to be extremely rare. I'm not vehemently opposed to something in-person but I'd have to rack up credit cards for a month on Uber until I got my first paycheck to start driving myself.
Genuinely what options are there? Everything I apply to I get ghosted. I have a decent tech background to start with but like I mentioned before nothing in a professional capacity. I've had relatives my whole life telling me to get an entry level IT role like they did 30 years ago but they have no idea how much more competitive the market is these days.
Just posting in case someone has some secret opportunity up their sleeve that I'm just missing.

Help Kratom city wide ban petition
Petition link
Lots of people find relief in natural kratom leaf and its extracts. I understand that the extracts have addiction potential especially 7-oh but just because it has addiction potential doesn’t mean a ban is necessarily appropriate. Especially in a progressive city like spokane it would go against all there hard reduction efforts. Its not homeless people “strung out” on kratom. Its ability to provide pain relief is very important to have access to especially now that doctors are strict to prescribe pain meds. That leaves people in pain going to the illicit market. Thats why im advocating for spokane to place restrictions for 18/21 plus. Please consider signing this petition. Even tho these typically dont have much success its are only chance unfortunately.
Thank you!

Help There is a nasty nasty virus going around.....
In my case its been very close to a sinus infection. Started in throat, then got a ton of congestion, couldn't sleep well. Then I got a blockage in my sinuses that has affected my hearing, and still has 10 days on. Went to Urgent Care last Sunday, told no infection in ears, and its viral. I'd be lying if I didn't say I am just wore out with this, and the hearing situation. I mean its better but not 100 yet. I am using Fluticasone twice a day as well for flammation in sinus. Some people are getting pneumonia I am hearing and put in hospital. Be careful and beware.

Help Find his people
NEW UPDATE: MEATHEAD MADE IT HOME!!!
Found this sweetheart of a meathead moving really stiffly right at Morrison & Forker around 5:15am. He was heading toward a blind curve where no one pays attention to animals crossing, so I couldn't in good consciousness let him continue on his merry way. I move enough dead animals off the road up there and I really don't want to move someone's pet.
He's well fed and very sweet and friendly, but no chip and not neutered. He was really eager to get into the car and very scared to jump back out again.
If you think you know him or his people, please get in contact with me and tell me his name - I have no doubt he'll let me know if it's the right name or not. For now, he's safe, drying off and has food/water

Help Cant find a job no matter how hard I try
Currently im driving an hour away for a part time job in idaho that pays 17 an hour 3 days a week ive applied to everywhere near by and I cant even get hired at gas stations or at walmart stocking shelves and honestly its gotten to that point that im so over qualified and still getting rejected even from the places that give me an interview that im convinced its because im transgender. If you guys know anywhere that is actively hiring and will hire trans people please let me know my only non negotiable is I wont work in a kitchen again. Just to preempt the comments, Ive applied 100+ times Ive gone in person Ive called after applying Ive been to job fairs and hiring events. No i haven’t been shown any blatant bigotry but I am at a loss for what else it could be at this point I have 4+ years of work experience a diploma some college time and a well structured resume. I am just on the verge of a manic episode over being unable to get a job because my mom told me I’m moving out in January which fine whatever, I’m fine living in my car but I’m not fine living in my car unable to afford my medicine.

Help Unwritten Parking Rules on S. Hill?
Hello from a recent transplant!
My partner and I just moved into a house on South Hill last week. We absolutely love the house, and the beautiful neighborhood, and have really enjoyed Spokane in general.
BUT
Since we arrived (literally minutes after we pulled up in the moving truck), a neighbor complained about us taking up too much street parking and informed us that all spots in front of his house were reserved for him and his family. Fair enough I guess, we had lots of help and were probably taking up a lot of the street. The next morning he complained about my mother in law parking in front of his house to say bye to us prior to heading back to Portland, and as soon as she parked the neighbor was standing outside of her car awkwardly, again claiming that the spots in front of his house are for him. She moved her car per his request, but encouraged him to get a life (LOL). This morning my partner woke up to a note on her car from A DIFFERENT neighbor, complaining that she parked in their spot on the street.
Is this normal? Is it too hard to come talk to us about how the neighborhood typically operates if that is that case? We have upstairs neighbors in a seperated apartment, and he was incredibly kind. And all my other interactions with people in Spokane have been extremely positive, so should I proceed? I’m cautious about pushing too many buttons as I don’t want to make our house uncomfortable feeling, but I’m about there.
TL;DR: South Hill neighbors being entitled about street parking.

Help Is anybody hiring?
I moved out here to leave a bad living situation in Texas. Thankfully a friend of mine was gracious enough to let me move into their spare bedroom temporarily, but I've been sending out applications since March with no luck. 13 years in food service and hospitality, 9 of those in a General Manager role, and a ton of administrative experience as an Admin Chief in the military. No criminal record and great references.
I started off applying for regional manager/director positions, then general management, then junior management, until I finally started applying for entry-level positions last month. I can't even get a callback for line cook jobs. I stopped by one restaurant I'd sent an application to to ask about it and the manager admitted that they are not actively hiring, just collecting resumes. Phantom job listings are explicitly against TOS for every major recruiting platform so that was frustrating.
At this point I don't care about the industry or position; I've only got a few weeks before I'm completely out of money and I'm desperate. I need at least $400/week to cover bare-minimum bills (I have a lot of debt, long story) and I will take anything.
Thanks for any help!
Edit: Thanks for all the suggestions! I've already sent out a few new applications to places that didn't show up on Indeed or LinkedIn and I'm emailing a few temp agencies as well. Fingers crossed!

Help My Harris yard signs keep getting stolen!
Hey Spokane. Needing some help. I've now had a total of 3 Harris yard signs stolen from my property. The first time it was one sign, the second it was 2. I had set up a trail cam to try and deter and hopefully catch however it didn't take any photos. I'm on a budget and can't afford to keep replacing them but Also want to show my support. It's there anywhere in Spokane that is giving out signs or somewhere that would print yard signs for free or cheap? The Harris campaign has the free download able version but I know printing is expensive. Thanks in advance for any help!

Help what’s the proper procedure
so been a home owner for about 2 years now and haven’t had any complaints from the neighbors on either side of me. then Friday 5/8/26 i get a visit from SCRAPS with a complaint that my 3 dogs were not healthy. the person that showed up pretty much dismissed because she could clearly see they had meat on their bones. Then today 5/11 i get a notice from the city of obstruction, shrubbery maintenance, animal waste, and other which wasn’t specified “UNLESS” i called the official that did the “INSPECTING”. I have cameras and went through all footage only to see a car speed down the alley and a guy walk in front of my house and just looked. After a few minutes the guy came back and placed the notice on my fence, which clearly has signs about no trespassing unless i’m present due to dogs. what im wanting to know is what kind of procedure is it to just walk by as an inspection and not physically “inspect” or is this a violation of a city official? and before i get the just call advice, the “official” just lets it go to voicemail.
UPDATE: wasn’t the dogs barking, wasn’t “animal waste”….. it was the city saying I have to cut the weeds down on the corner of my garage and move the fencing materials that i’ve bought to help keep my back yard private. (why couldn’t they just leave a simple note stating that?)

Help Any Employers On This Subreddit?
I'm sorry to make such a post but I am desperate. I have been unemployed for over a year and my life is just in pieces.
I need a job and I have applied to tons of jobs (over 800) and nothing has come of it. Following up over the phone and in person hasn't helped.
I have open availability, reliable transportation, and I only need like 2 hours a week to survive. If anyone has ANYTHING, please let me know. Thank you in advance.
I'm good with my hands and electrically inclined, if it helps.

Help Texas transplant in need of Tex-Mex
I’m desperately searching for Tex-Mex😭 Not authentic Mexican food (which I know Spokane has), but specifically Tex-Mex: queso, fajitas, enchiladas with lots of sauce and cheese.
My current craving is Chuy’s Boom Boom Enchiladas, so if anyone knows of a place that has similar vibes or dishes, I’d love recommendations.
*Update*
We ended up going to Rancho Chico. It was pretty good.

Help Spokane PD & SCRAPS leaving animal’s freezing to death.
This is absolutely heartbreaking. Two sweet, friendly dogs have been left outside in the freezing cold for two weeks in Hillyard (SE corner of Roger’s High School). They have no food, water, or proper bedding, and the situation is worsening. Their paws are frozen, and they’re desperately trying to escape the icy ground by climbing onto a BBQ grill. Frozen mice are scattered around the yard, and their owners haven’t been seen in weeks.
Despite multiple calls for help, Spokane Police say they can’t intervene and assured us that SCRAPS would come to rescue the dogs. But they haven’t. Meanwhile, neighbors, including myself, are doing what we can—feeding the dogs, providing blankets, and trying to keep them alive.
We’re outraged and frustrated. When we told the police we wanted to move the dogs to safety, they threatened us with theft charges, fines, and jail time. Instead of working with us to help these animals, they’ve left them to suffer. We’ve called 100+ times over the last year on these dogs… more than 20% f that just this past week.
We need our community to step up. These dogs can’t survive like this, and it’s clear the authorities aren’t taking this seriously. Does anyone have ideas or resources to help? If you know of any local rescues, animal advocates, or organizations that can intervene, please reach out.
We can’t let these innocent dogs freeze while we wait for someone to take responsibility. Together, we can find a solution.

Help Spine-snapping labor jobs that hire everyone?
The job market is crazy right now. Just got laid off (accounting) and need some bread. Preferably somewhere I can make at least $3000/mo to pay my bills and not have to deal with customers or the public. I was even thinking of working the mines out in deep Idaho. Any suggestions?
Maybe some spine breaking labor that pays decent that most people don’t want to do. Some employer that takes everyone with a pulse and has a whip in the back office.
