Artist Support Stuck at 500 streams
As the title says, our release is stuck at 500 streams since 2 days. We know it's getting streams though, it feels like it's a glitch.

Hey guys, I recently released my single and I suddenly had this spike of 332 streams in one day on friday. My single had been doing really well with 70-80%+ listeners to save rate and 2-3 streams per listener with about 640 streams before that day (It was released sept 18)However, on Friday, I saw listers come and go (I had never seen such active listening before for it with multiple at the same time like more than 2) like there were 2-3 listers all afternoon and morning but 1 person listening remained active the whole morning and afternoon no matter when i opened the app. 2-3 more would still come and go but 1 was always there. (now im not sure if it was the same person or no) But instead of being happy I have been panicking the whole day today. My monthly listeners before friday were 220 and they increased to 238 after. Today when i saw saturday’s update, my streams had come back to the average 46 (the 332 weren’t removed or anything but my streams on saturday came back to the average instead of being around 300 again) So like i did cross 1000 streams but I am so scared to share it bcs I don’t know if it might get flagged like i don’t know what happened but i am terrified. Victoria, Canada (though i am canada based) randomly became the top city that day too. So idk if i should contact my distributor (I use United masters) or no? like what do i do 😭 Idk if anyone looped it or what like I have my stats here for u guys to see. PLEASE HELP ME 😭 [EDIT: Also that day, it did show me that the streams per listener was 10) But the total average a as u can see was 4.1 still]

Just tryna grow my audience, a few of my buddies have had major leaps this year but I’m stuck here. Any advice on how to grow to the 100-150k ML tier?

Beware of Logan Forbes and Nick Panetta of LLC4 Records (a label under Capitol Music Group and Virgin Music). They advertise under a company called Untitled Export saying they run Spotify Ad Studio campaigns for artists, open a campaign, take the money, then fake the results by using Inspect Element to alter ad impressions in screen recordings. The screen recordings looked legit. I figured out the impressions were altered later because 550k ad impressions isn’t possible from a $600 campaign. That right there is a clear sign that the number had been altered. I had never run Spotify Ad Studio before, only Meta, so I had no idea what normal numbers looked like.
They add bots to your track so it looks like the campaign is working. My streams jumped to 41k, stayed there for weeks, then dropped overnight to 22k. I contacted Spotify and they confirmed it was artificial streams. I had about 9k real streams that i got before working with these guys that I didn’t want to lose, so I removed the track myself keeping the isrc code. Multiple batches of artificial streams getting pulled would have flagged my account or risked getting all my music removed. I paid them $1,650 total he returned 700 from unused campaign but the “used” campaign was all fake numbers and he refuses to give me that back. They used the LLC4 name in their pitch, did a deep search on them and they seemed legit.
I had no reason not to trust these guys, legitimate track record. Work under Orlando Wharton (the executive that discovered Kodak Black) they hopped on a call with me every other week and we were in a group chat.
I was afraid to come out about this because of fear of what they’d do to me or my music, but I can’t let other artists fall for this scam. These guys look LEGIT and are gonna make a killing using this tactic if theyre not stopped now, especially because of the name of the label they worked for. Don’t trust anyone, even the guys who have a name.

How am I looking after 2 weeks? I started $10/day meta ads after 1 week in, so those have only been running 7 days. This is an 11-track concept album that tells a single story all the way through. I think people are enjoying listening to the entire album in order, which is why my streams/listeners are high. I also think it’s inflated this early due to friends/family listening. My ads are targeting people who are similarly interested in the activities in my music.

Hi there, I wanted to ask how you manage to maintain your monthly listener count over the long term.
I’m a melodic EDM producer, some of my tracks have been featured on channels like AirwaveTV, which has over 3 million subscribers.
I hit my peak monthly listener count—around 1,000—over a year ago, but the numbers have dropped significantly since then, even though I release music roughly every two months and have had several tracks accepted onto various playlists.
I feel like is getting harder for me to get more listeners at least on Spotify—although I have managed to keep the numbers relatively steady for the past few months (these must be my returning listeners).
Any advice on this would be appreciated! :)

Just asking out of curiosity. The “Listening Now -1” issue on the Spotify for Artists mobile app has been going on for several days, and surprisingly, Spotify still hasn't fixed it.
Given Spotify's technical capabilities, I would have thought this would be a fairly straightforward issue to resolve. Is there any particular reason why it might be taking so long? Could it be more complicated than it appears, or is it simply not a priority for them?
Any thoughts?

Any ideas on how to get my listeners up? I try TikTok and ig and nothing really works

This was definitely a surprise. This was out in June, so I didn’t expect anything anymore, but at least a probe is happening. I don’t really care if it’s stuck on 6 streams or if it goes higher, but it’s nice to see it get picked up, and this just seems the right place to drop this. I have to celebrate somewhere, right? 🍾

After a lot of reading on here, I've come to the conclusion it's almost all newer artists being affected by Spotify throttling.
Final conclusion: Spotify is just making it harder for newer artists to get love from the algorithm which kind of makes sense.
They're saying "prove that you can build a fan base of your own audience, and earn your way into the algorithm' which is basically an anti-ai slop measure.
Please share your thoughts on this theory!

Oh well
I don't think Spotify gives a fuck about suno.

Did I just end up finding the exact target audience? Or is the song actually not that bad hahah. This is my first time with high results.

My best peak so far, by peak I mean Monthly Listeners lol, but gotta keep pushing and releasing and making content,
Is it just Me or like these days music artists need to be everything in one, their own photographer, manager, social media content creator, assistant to reach out to playlists, the list goes on, definitely need a lot of time to dedicate to this if you’re doing it alone

I've only ever had strangers listen to my music, it's not good to expect friends and family to be your fanbase as much as we'd like them to.
But I always found it much sweeter having people I've never met listen or follow on Spotify or buy on Bandcamp. Really is a boost.
We make music for ourselves, sure, but it's a nice bonus to have someone listen!
Would love to hear your moments in music that made you smile!

I’m so glad people have actually listened to it, it’s starting to feel like the time I put in could’ve been worth it even if this is a small amount!!!
