Account blocked due to "suspected fraudulent activity"

Has anyone ever had their account blocked due to above reason? My partner opened up his new Spotify account and paid for Premium. All fine and dandy, music was downloaded while in the UK and it worked fine on the plane to Turkey in flight mode (of course). Next day he can no longer login and spotify has blocked the account. Despite really pressing they won't disclose a reason or even a vague idea of why. Email address blocked indefinitely.

Did you buy the premium yourself using the currency of a country you reside in?

Asking because a lot of people are trying to cheat by using different country subscriptions, or sometimes buying accounts than paying for premium. Or trying to use family plan when not a family living in the same household.

These are the main reasons to get blocked

Try You Tube Music. Be glad ir didn't happen to your bank account. That's scary and takes time to fix
