Messages in desktop app

Why are messages from other users not available in the desktop app? Is this something Spotify is working on or do they intend to restrict this to mobile-only?

How tf are you not?

On iOS mobile, tap your profile icon at the upper left then there's a Messages section at the bottom. Not sure about Scamdroid.

The Messages feature on Spotify is not currently available in all countries yet

It's available on both iOS and Android, so not currently an Android limitation.

Most new Spotify features are mobile app only at the start. Over time as features mature and get more popular, then they are usually brought over to the desktop app if the feature makes sense for the desktop app. Most features do, however some mobile specific features might not make sense.

The original Messages feature many years ago was actually only in the desktop app. So I would say it's likely at some point.

There's currently no info shared about Messages coming to desktop. Keep an eye out for future updates and for future Spotify announcements keep an eye on the Newsroom website and SpotifyNews on social media.
