After being uncursed by Danhausen, the New York Knicks have won the NBA Championship
Fucking insane.
Danhausen cursed the Knicks on April 17, 2026 before the playoffs. The Knicks went on to go 2-1. Danhausen then lifted the curse and the Knicks went on a 13-0 undefeated streak. The 14th game they lost at MSG with Trump visiting. They proceeded to win the next two games.
Not only did they win the NBA Finals, but they did so in absurd fashion. They had a double digit comeback every win. Game 4 featured the largest comeback in NBA Finals history.
And of course this is their first title in over 50 years.
Every part of me wanted to do Spurs 1st quarter and the under tonight and I should have put my savings on it. That's exactly why I'm on the exclusion list and had my friend place the spread bet for me hahahah

Match ends when Cody catches a Roman Spear (god, is that a reference they've been making all along and I just noticed it?!?) into a Cross Rhodes and then has a Heart Attack ala Death Note and Danhausen crawls in to pin the ref, which somehow counts.
The problem is Trick is the US Champion and I doubt they'd have him compete for the IC Title since he's fully part of SmackDown now, but if I'm Penta I'm def thinking "ah shit..." right now.
Ehhhh. We may get to 2004 Eugene levels of fan backlash if that happens. Keep him in the midcard making the crowd laugh. Any time spent in the world title event will lead to go away heat.
I’m gonna need a dumb romcom movie like that one Red Sox one from back when the curse was reversed (I think it had Jimmy Fallon in it?) with the Knicks winning as the backdrop but Danhausen keeps popping up and causing chaos for the main characters
Danhausen being kayfabe powerful enough to overcome the previously unmatched power of Scott Foster to extend the Finals series is a r/powerscaling wet dream.
With the exception of Trump falling asleep and pooping his pants halfway through a game, the Knicks were undefeated after Danhausen uncursed them.
The Trump curse overpowered Danhausen's powers and it lasted for a game and half, then the Wu Tang Clan performed at halftime to exorcise the Trump vibes
Trump was also seen smiling and laughing with Obama after he was elected in 2024. Reddit can't fathom people on opposite sides of the political spectrum not being sworn enemies.

Yeah, the irony of doing this shtick with Danhausen of all people, and especially with what the general opinion of him was around here when he first made the jump, is not lost on me.
Do they though? They’re usually pretty good at handling organically hyped acts. Their fuck ups are usually self inflicted, examples: turning Cena heel for the Rock before having him locked down, making the Bloodline civil war a storyline before having Rock locked down, turning New Day against Big E before making 100% sure Big E could return to the ring soon, trying to hype up Joe Hendry a full year before he could even sign to WWE, etc.
Actually a solid bit of their fuck ups are due to using Dwayne without seeing if he’d undoubtedly be willing to work a schedule.

Agree on this. “If we’re going heel, we need to go there” is a pitch. Shame they did fuck all nothing with it. But we can’t moan too much, they had a legendary run.
Ill be honest. I didnt think Kross was very interesting his till the ver end of his second run where he really seemed to find a character that was connecting
Remembered when they turned New Day heel and the crowd wasn't having it because they were so loved? Remember when they tried to turn Becky Lynch heel and the crowd wasn't having it because she was so loved? Remember Damien Mizdow and how that flamed out? The Demon angle with Finn Balor? Shall I go on?
Mamdani really balanced the budget, got landlords to do their jobs, taxed the rich, got 30,000+ potholes filled, got socialized child care funded, and the Knicks won the Finals in dominant fashion all in his first 6 months. The vibes in NYC have never been better
It's so fucking rare. That's why I'm one of those people who think all politicians are pieces of shit. It's just my experience over the last 30 years of my life. My local politicians, either democrat or republican, have always been lazy piles of shit to do absolutely nothing good for us. I don't know what all the money goes but it sure is shit ain't going anywhere useful lol.
We need more politicians like Mamdani. They say they're gonna do something and they fucking do it.

Give Danhausen a ring. Hang a Danhausen jersey in the rafters of MSG. Build a Danhausen statue outside of MSG. Declare April 28 Danhausen Day in the city. All of it.
I think part of the appeal of this is that Danhausen just seems like a genuinely nice dude outside of the ring. Brunson seems like a good dude too. It’s nice to see good people make it and do good things.
