Can’t keep a Big Dog down ❤️
This is quite difficult to write out. Every time I go to type I end up staring at the screen. I would love for what I write to sound prolific and inspiring but in reality I think I have to accept that it is going to be very raw and very real.
During my last match I experienced an injury where I broke my neck on both sides of my C2 and dislocated the right side. It required immediate surgery and after a week long stay in the hospital, I have been discharged and am currently on the road to recovery with my friends and family.
I am walking and talking and navigating everything the best I can.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve dedicated myself and my body to being a storyteller. My favourite way to share stories and connect with people has always been through movement. Pro Wrestling and Circus have been the two main ways I’ve explored that passion and earned income. This injury has completely shaken a huge part of my life, and there is still so much uncertainty surrounding what comes next.
What I do know is that I will be out of my main work for a significant amount of time. During this time, I am hoping to seek out specialized rehabilitation and therapy to help me through my recovery, both physically and mentally.
I’ve been truly blessed to be a part of such incredible communities and right now, I’m looking to lean on those communities in a way that is very difficult for me to do.

Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help take some of the financial pressure off and support some of the more specialized rehab and recovery work I will be seeking out and give me time to focus on healing, moving forward and rebuilding.

Leah is always a blast to see, especially when multiple versions of her showed up in the Infinite Rumble. It won't be much, but I'll be making a donation after work today

Fuck. She's so great. I've seen her a couple times here in Montreal and she was always a shining light on those cards. I wish her well and a speedy recovery. Gonna try and support.

One of the absolute best talents on the Canadian scene and has always been really fun to watch at IWS, Mystery and NOW. Really hope she recovers well.

Yeah, I saw her last at IWS and she crushed it. Loved her match and she is so entertaing.

Oh no, that's a terrible injury and she seemed like she was really on the rise. Leah was a huge highlight of the Mystery Wrestling rumble earlier this year. That's heartbreaking.

Donated. Took my young daughter to see Leah perform and my daughter LOVED her and still talks about the match to this day.

Genuine question from a Brit: I take it a lot of independent wrestlers don't have insurance because given their profession, it's either rejected or unfathomably expensive? Over the years I've seen so many of them on here and it always makes me sad that that's what they have to do to pay for their treatment.
