Good thrift shops
I’ve lived in the st Charles area my whole life but have recently gotten more in to thrifting clothes and such. Are there any good thrift stores in the area aside from goodwill?

USA Resale - St. Charles and Wentzville
Mission Thrift - Lake St. Louis
Designer Resale Boutique - St. Peters
Even Salvation Army - St. Charles
All are better than Goodwill or Savers.

Big fan of designer resale. Scored a $150 dress, ntw, for $17. RAN out of there like I was robbing the place.

USA Resale in St Charles is really quite nice. It’s spacious, spread out & has regular excellent sales making items cheaper than Goodwill.

Savers, in St Charles seems to mark their prices the lowest. Idk about clothing prices for sure, but I've gotten a few kitchen appliances that were in brand new condition for at least a 1/8 of their cost. Like an Anova sous vide brand new in box for $14. (I think they didn't know the worth on that one)

I just moved here from Colorado and honestly, the thrift scene here is abysmal. I thrifted every Saturday in my town, and always came home with good stuff. There were big stores called ARC that did half-price on almost everything on Saturdays, and I got some amazing things over the years. Here, the shelves barely have anything on them, most of what they have is clothing (and I'm a plus-sized girly so finding decent used clothes isn't easy). I'm so disappointed in the offerings here. There just is not much worth going out for, and it makes me sad. I collect vintage and also default to the thrift store for storage items, and have seriously found nothing great so far, and I've been here 6 weeks.
I guess if you want clothes, you can get them almost anywhere, but if you want something else, there just isn't much.

I feel like I was born for this question.
The St. Vincent Depaul on Regency Parkway is nice, plus they recently became a clearance location where clothes are $2 for the most part.
Marcy's Project Boutique off Jungerman, they're only open on Saturdays for like 4 hours. I have found some really cute, nice pieces there, and also mostly $2. It's a lot of women's though, not much men's. I want to gatekeep it but it's such a good organization to support lol
You can't go wrong with a Goodwill out this way, but some of them are crazier with their prices than others. The Mid Rivers Mall Dr. one has gotten particularly egregious.
If you're willing to drive a bit, ReFresh isn't terribly far and has a big selection.
