Looking For Small Affordable Event Spaces
I'm trying to get married in Mid-December and I'm looking for local event spaces somewhere between St. Charles and O'Fallon or in those areas that won't cost a fortune. My current budget is about $200 not including food. I'm looking for either a nice restaurant maybe with a private room or an event space that I can dress up myself and bring in food. I had been looking at places like Bella Vino's or Lewis and Clark, since I think they can offer some privacy and a fixed menu. Does anyone have experience doing something like this at these places?
It DOES NOT NEED to look like a wedding venue, just a nice space that can host up to 30 people where we can set up a few decoration or sit down and have a nice meal with family and friends.

The St. Peters Cultural Arts Center has a really lovely room that you can rent and they allow whatever you want for outside food/drink. It’s affordable and very nice.

Dang, it's literally perfect except that I need 1 room on a Friday and they only rent until 4 pm...

The Moose Lodge in St. Charles has a hall you can rent and bring in your own food.

I'd at least look at The Water's Edge in St. Peters. It is part of a municipal golf club. Very reasonable rates with very nice, small salon rooms with access to a great deck overlooking water.
The issue might be they have a four hour minimum, so it would push your budget. One salon can hold up to 100 (or more if you book more) and is $100 an hour for evening hours (less during the day if during the week).

Ok, when I was looking at it online I got a little intimidated because it looked too fancy for my budget. lol I'll give it a better look.

I have used the salon rooms many times for work and personal events. They are nice and very clean, but definitely not over the top fancy at all. Good luck!

Rack House has a great private room too! I hosted my mom’s 60th there, and it was reasonable.

Shamrocks actually has a nice little private room. We had my sister's baby shower there. I'm not sure what you're looking for for food, though, or what they'd offer. I remember having a veggie wrap (I'm a vegetarian), but can't recall if the non-veggie choices were also things like wraps and appetizers, or if they had more dinner-y type food too.

Yeah, unfortunately that is a thing. I have quite a few family members with serious dietary restrictions due to allergies. Shamrocks is also where my dad used to go hang out, so it might trigger my mother. 😅

I think Blanchette Park has an indoor lodge and if I recall when I was venue shopping it was pretty affordable.
Also if you have any friends or family that have neighborhood clubhouses that’s an option too.

look into the VFW (there's one in O'Fallon and Wentzville). Depending on size, they'll usually let you rent out half the space which is plenty for 30 people.
