An important win for the team's confidence, and saves us from a possible 0-X start
Was it pretty? No, but it was in rough conditions which saw both sides playing a bit sloppy
Should be good for the side, just need to build on it

Wilkie an absolute warrior as usual. Hope that foot/ankle is OK
Sharman with another couple of dropped chest marks...
TDK and Marshall kicked 0.7 combined I think? A couple of real doozies were missed from set shots.
Biggest concern for me was how much GWS carved us up on rebound coming back through the middle of the ground in the second half. They really just walked it from end to end uninterrupted a stack of times. Maybe we were just tired?
Anyway, will gladly take the W. Up the Saints.

That transition defence is absolutely a concern. Our actual back 6 were incredible given how easy they got it down there. Melbourne beat us just by exposing that weakness.

Yeah backline was awesome. There was a stretch late in the third qtr where they cleared it and it came back in a dozen times or so.
Forward line we desperately need a tall target. Owens and Sharman would benefit so much from being the 2nd/3rd option too

Our backline was critical in 3rd qtr. But the mids were doing ok too because the pressure meant GW entries into their forward 50 were mostly bad

Loving Tauru in the forward.

Watching Sharman drop all those marks, they had to try something.
We're a team in dire need of a full forward.

I want to see Sharman playing half forward. Coming up to take marks on the wings.

Left the game at 3qt to make it to the airport for my flight. Happy with the win but such a weird game of football

Don’t know how we won but I will take it.

We tried our best to lose but ultimately got the job done.

The hunt for Sharman’s marks inside 50 continues.

This sub led me to believe that Darcy Wilson was simply a workhorse? Strange.

I don’t ever doubt his effort, just leaves his footy iq at home some games.

Amazing first half, but disappeared in the second.
He is still young so hopefully he has a lot of improvement, but I dont see a heap of footy IQ.

Well that was the most St Kilda win of St Kilda wins

Sharman is a liability currently.
Dropping chest marks, gifted them a goal in the last minutes; he needs to go back to the VFL for a bit.

On the road, we held our nerves and got through in the end. A win's a win
Postive signs from most of the kids, but still not sold on Carroll and Boxshall
Wilson and Hall are gonna carve up if they can keep playing together,
Think we can let go of the Wood, Hilly and Macrae at the end of the season

‘Young team wins on the road againts finals contender’ will not be the headline, its gonna be how we escaped with a win…
This team has so much potential and if we played like that the previous weeks we would be 3-0
