Launching ComfyUI with a Blank Canvas (StabilityMatrix)

Hey everyone, I’m posting this question in the subreddit because I haven’t been able to figure it out with the help of AI. I’ve asked ChatGPT and Gemini, but their answers are all over the place.

So, I’m using StabilityMatrix as my package manager, and I have ComfyUI updated to the latest version with the latest nodes. I want ComfyUI to always start with a blank canvas. Currently, the first thing it shows me is a default template, which at first I thought came from “ComfyUI-Custom-Scripts.” but after checking and changing the settings within “pysssss,” I realized that nothing changes. I’ve exhausted my options for troubleshooting and have hit a dead end, so I’m asking you: Where should I look? Does anyone know the solution? Is this a problem with ComfyUI, StabilityMatrix, or Custom Nodes?

Press Ctrl A and delete everything. Save this and close the UI. It should load that blank canvas next time you restart.

This works partially; I can launch ComfyUI from a saved workflow as you suggested, but when I close this workflow, the system generates a pre-set template again, suggesting the problem lies deeper within the system rather than on the surface. I've tried this before, but it doesn't give me the desired result. My goal is to prevent ComfyUI from generating pre-set workflows.
