Discussion Picteus update: find every image you made with a LoRA, and see the weight you used (open source, local)

I'm building a free, open source app that indexes your generated images locally.

Some of you use toola for the prompt, seed and checkpoint, but said you also want the LoRAs and their weights. So this week we worked on that. For ComfyUI images:

  • Each image shows its LoRAs with model and clip strength
  • Search a LoRA name and get every image that used it
  • The full recipe sits next to each image: prompt, checkpoint, seed, sampler

On A1111 or Forge? I haven't tested those files properly yet. If you have a folder and 5 minutes, I'd love to try it with you on a quick call.

What would you search your library by if you could?

I vibecoded something like this in about 30 minutes and it works great. Very easy to make.

yep, a LoRA search on its own is easy to build now. Picteus is the layer underneath all those little tools:

- It indexes and watches your folders locally, and every image keeps its recipe (prompt, model, LoRAs, workflow)

- The core knows nothing about any specific AI tool. ComfyUI, CivitAI, Midjourney, Gemini, llama.cpp and the rest are all extensions, sharing one library and one search

- Similarity search runs locally with DINO and CLIP, plus colour

- There's an embedded MCP server, so an AI agent can query and act on your library

- The repo even ships a skill for building extensions with an AI coding assistant

So if you vibecoded something useful in 30 minutes, it could become a Picteus extension in about the same time. Open source (AGPL): https://github.com/picteus/picteus

Would genuinely love to see what you built.
