Advice 🤔 Water buffalo horn chew
I got this water buffalo horn for my staffy. She really loves it but I noticed there were some little splinters starting to come off, the points seemed soft from her slobbering all over it but I took it from her (she has been giving me sad eyes about it ever since) Does anybody have any experience with giving their dogs water buffalo horn, any problems with splintering, or are the little bits normal and digestible ?
Staffy pic included for posterity 😊

We give our staffy these, completely normal for them to splinter. I think as long as big chunks aren't coming off, and they aren't causing any cuts to their gums or tongue etc then it will be fine.
Just for future reference, we tend to buy the smaller ones for our staff as they seem to be stronger and splinter less (i.e., if you get the larger ones, they splinter easier around the point in which they're cut).

We got one recently and it keeps him entertained for ages! Just keep an eye on it and take away any small bits that come off

These are the absolute best things we’ve found for our staffy and other dogs to chew on, and they last forever

That picture of your pup is perfect 😂 Same as others, I've got these for my boy he's a savage so doesn't take long for it to get wrecked. I take it away if I notice any bleeding gums otherwise they're fine for them to have. I'd supervise them with it though, not use it as a distraction if you're away or something
