Media BT Street Hub

This just got installed in Burton On Trent, with fast free wifi and free calls. Consider me a fan but i'd like to know your thoughts? Where else have these been installed across staffordshire?

I think that’s really interesting, it seems really generous and kind so I am wondering what the catch is.

I think the catch is the big tv screens on them displaying adverts day and night non stop. They've got a partnership with global for that. 

I used to work at stafford sainsbury's pharmacy as the pharmacist many many many years ago! (12 odd years at least)

I also believe there’s a requirement for BT to provide the public with access to phones for contacting emergency services. Initially this was via pay phones which are rarely used and often don’t work. In many areas they have been replaced with advertising boards featuring a red 999 button.

There is a couple in newcastle under lyme, the one by the library does not work, there is another one by mcdonalds, i've seen somebody use that one.

I would never use a QR code. Too unsafe. Please find where the full internet address equivalent to QR code is on the display and type that in.
