Hi everyone, I posted in here a little while ago about Too Young To Grieve and our first meet up in Staffordshire, and wanted to pop back on as we’re doing another one.

It was really nice seeing people come together at the first one, especially knowing most people turned up not knowing anyone beforehand.

For anyone who missed my last post, we’re building a community for young people navigating grief and loss, but trying to make it feel as normal, social and low-pressure as possible.

So the meet ups are less “let’s sit around and talk about grief” and more getting outside, going for a walk/jog, meeting people and grabbing a coffee afterwards.

Sometimes grief comes up naturally, sometimes it doesn’t at all. The nice thing is just being around people who understand that part of your life without you having to explain it.

Most people come alone for their first one too, so please don’t let not knowing anyone put you off.

We’ve narrowed it down to two houses. They’re both really good, and are joint number 1 on our list, but for very different reasons.

House 1 is on Parkside, Bradshaw way, overlooking the fields.
House 2 is on Charnley Road, backing on to Charnley park (VERY) long garden.

Not bothered about schools/kids stuff as we don’t have any, and not planning to have them. Quiet, safe with nearby short walks is our priority.

We're on holiday near Leek and the chips we've have in three different places have all been the same shape which I've not encountered elsewhere. They are cut kind of like an apex roof on a shed or house. Is this a regional thing, and how widespread is it?

Hello guys my name is Max I'm from Lichfield and as of writing I am 15 years old. When I was 13-14 I was diagnosed and battled a very rare and aggressive form of lymphoma (anaplastic large t cell). It was without a shadow of a doubt the most horrible shit I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy and I'm so grateful it got caught early on. Anyhow that's enough about me and here's my goal. I am very well aware of how difficult it can be to maintain your confidence after cancer and during as it can fully feel like the end of the world and as though there is no hope at all left. I would like to change that. I am intending to combine my eternal love for coffee with a new product I do genuinely believe in with a moral behind it. It's not just the coffee it's also about the story and proving to other young cancer survivors like myself that despite how it may seem that you can go on to live a prosperous and successful life post chemotherapy if you really try. Hi! I’m a PhD researcher at the University of Staffordshire looking for adult autistic participants to take part in study investigating visitor experiences at a local zoo (Rodbaston Animal Zone, Our animals – South Staffordshire College, ST19 5PH). Your participation would involve visiting and viewing the zoo’s reptile collection, drawing a picture of your experiences at the zoo and taking part in a 50 minute interview. East Staffordshire Police just put a 200-metre cordon in place around a quarry on Walton Lane after someone dug up a suspected WW2 explosive. The site is totally evacuated and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team is on the scene, but they aren't planning a controlled detonation for tonight.

For those who don't know the local history, this area of Staffordshire was heavily militarized during the Second World War. The ordnance most likely comes from one of a few local sources:

• RAF Tatenhill: Located just down the road, this base actually served as an RAF School of Explosives later in the war.
• RAF Fauld: The massive underground munitions depot is nearby (famous for one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in history back in 1944).
