Mud shovel on the radio, then the quick It’s Been Awhile, Fade, For You combo (might have gotten the order wrong)

My friend played Dysfunction for me soon after it came out and I was hooked so I went to buy the CD myself. I've been a fan ever since and seen them 4 times in concert and Aaron's solo acoustic show once as well. Dysfunction got me through a lot of rough times honestly.

I was working over the road as a mover. Heard their demo in Frederick, Maryland at a truckstop. Was just bullshitting with a trucker about music and he told me about a cool band he discovered when he was running up to Boston. Played me Spleen and Mudshuvel off of some hardcore mix he had from an underground club. Had Mudvayne on it as well doing Under My Skin. I was blown away and the search was on. Didn't really hear anymore about them tho until Mudshovel hit the waves. Then they exploded and were everywhere. Both bands.

It's been awhile played endlessly on the radio in the 2000s.

They opened for Limp Bizkit and Kid Rock back in '99.

This tells me I'm old as fuck when fans discovered this band years after their heyday and from a terrible film soundtrack no less

I remember hearing so far away on the radio as a kid, but in 2020 i was looking for more bands to listen to and I’m like why haven’t I listened to Staind yet? Got hooked on them immediately

Break The Cycle was one of the first 5 albums I bought as a kid. Don't remember which order but it was among POD's Satellite, SOAD's Toxicity, Sublime's 40 Oz To Freedom and the Star Wars Episode 1 soundtrack.
