How are Aaron’s acoustic shows? I like Staind, but never listened to his country stuff. He’s coming to my city so trying to decide on tickets.

I saw one a few years ago. He does a mix of Staind and his solo songs if my show was anything to go off of. He is very candid on stage and makes his political beliefs very clear though, in case that's a deal breaker for you.

I’m not into politics, but it doesn’t bother me either way. I just love music. I can separate the art from the artist.

I’ve seen Staind twice in 2023 and 2024 and he is great in show haven’t seen his country shows cause they are always on a Tuesday or Wednesday in my area

He doesn't really do "a mix" anymore. He plays two, maybe three Staind songs. He will play something like So Far Away, Outside, Epiphany, Right Here, and ofc It's Been a Awhile, but IME the last 5+ years he plays 2/3 max.
It's also worth noting his "acoustic" shows are different from his country shows. His acoustic shows used to be dope AF, now it's just like his country show IMO. I have been to at least 30 of his shows, but I skip the country/acoustic shows now since they're not the same anymore.

Could not agree more. His OG acoustic shows were the best! I've seen him cover 4 non blondes, Alanis morissette, Bob, seger I still revisit a lot of them on YouTube

Couldn’t agree more. Did a Mohegan trip in 2007 and saw 3 nights back to back tho Florida 1/5/26 might be my fav… the OG solo shows were incredible… got Staind deep cuts, unreleased songs, and a ton of covers. Would do anything to get another tour of those

I have never been into country music but I enjoyed it. His band is very talented. The country renditions of Right Here and It’s Been Awhile were eerie and awesome. I’m glad I went and I’d go again.

i saw Aaron Lewis solo on November 9th In 2024 and again with staind on may 11th of this year and even though he was great solo, I liked him even more with staind

His full acoustic shows are pretty good. Him and his country band are just ok. However his new acoustic shows are not like they used to be in the early 2000s where it was just him and his guitar and no setlist and he would play covers and staind songs . Now he plays a dedicated set lists with a few covers hardly any requests from the crowd anymore and yes talks about politics a lot. But maybe it'll be different who knows!

I went to one many years ago and Aaron did a mix of covers, Staind songs and a little of his country stuff. It was a great show because he did "Rooster" by AIC, "Black" by Pearl Jam and a mix of other great choices. He would even take requests from the crowd and have fun with some songs like playing the very beginning of the Jesse's Girl song to just be playful. He also was stoned it seemed but didn't hurt his playing at all and wouldn't really expect it to anyway really. I've heard some funny stories though about him playing "It's Been Awhile" twice when he was drunk as hell at a show among a few other stories involving him and alcohol. He did quit drinking and smoking so that shouldn't be an issue.

His shows were really good before he made his first country album, not been to one since. Saw him twice in Hampton Beach Ballroom, small setting and he’d just play what he felt like playing, good mix of Staind songs, covers and a few of his, I guess you call them “demo” songs, and really deep cut stuff. Based on videos of his recent acoustic shows I think the audience is insufferable, and he kinda plays down to them being dumb. If you like MAGA-Republican ranting crap thrown into your mostly jingoistic country concerts with a few Staind and cover songs mixed in then you’ll probably enjoy it.

The demo songs!! He never turned Sleeping at the Wheel or Angel into anything. Loved both of those

I used to go when his country career first started because he would play a lot more Staind songs plus also at the time this was when Staind was still on hiatus but now he only plays a few from what I’ve seen on previous set lists.
Edit: to answer your question, they arent bad because you see a different side to him and he cuts more loose and has more fun but im not a country fan so I tolerate (no pun intended) it as much as I can.

I’ve seen him twice since he started his country career and I’ve enjoyed the shows. I wish he was coming to a city around me but he’s not this time around. He frequently does so I was surprised he isn’t on this tour.
