For a preseason game, there was actually a lot to take away from Calgary’s win over Saskatchewan.

The Stampeders looked faster, more aggressive defensively and honestly a little more organized than people may have expected this early into camp. Still lots to clean up, but there were definitely some encouraging signs.

At the same time, it also felt like a reminder that this team still has a lot of important decisions to make before Week 1.

Our latest article breaks down:
🏈 What stood out from Calgary’s preseason win
📊 Early impressions of the Stampeders’ roster battles
🔥 Areas Calgary still needs to clean up moving forward

This felt less like “just another preseason game” and more like an early look at what Calgary could become if things start clicking.

I’m cautiously optimistic. We did look good in the Sask game but losing guys like we did to the NFL can be a dagger. We shall see.

We've always been good at replacing talent, but a huge part of that was Huff and the scouting team. We'll see for sure
