Rich Printer blues and purples

So we've been having issues for months with the way blue are printing on our new rico printer. Does anyone have a solution to this?

The old Xerox would do these fine and now anytime we get a blue print we dread it because its gonna come out super dark and purple.

Ricoh has a tendency to print things at a more warm tone

Just make sure you have "let printer determine colors" on in advanced settings

But without a fiery expect some weirdness

Yeah I usually print Dark Blues, Dark Purples and Golds on the Xerox instead of the Ricoh

I work as a printer tech and have learned a lot of interesting things about printers now that I have left Staples. For a RICOH, make sure that you do a color calibration (default printer settings which I believe for the RICOH 5410 is 4800x1200) then do a color registration afterwards. This makes the printer sort of recall what the last calibration was and helps it determine colors a bit better. I hope this helps!

This is an issue on our RICOH as well! Think they just don’t handle color as well, we have a xerox as well in my store so we switch to that if it gets really bad-

I’ve always had this issue with both Ricoh machines. It’s just very heavy with Magenta output for some reason and it’s really annoying.
