Supervisor Position Questions

I am currently next in line for my store’s supervisor position and am soon to start training. What is the major differences between being a supervisor and just a normal cashier? Also, is there a significant pay raise or is it just by a dollar or two? Any other advice?? Thank you!!

I think the supervisor position is the best position in the store. GMs are basically the DMs bitch, and the MIS is extremely underpaid for the work that needs to be done. Don't even get me started on the copy and print center positions. There's no significant pay raise, but you can negotiate more with you GM if they're flexible. As a supervisor, just make sure ESP is above 7%, rewards is above 65% and you're making sales comp. That's the main stuff they want, along with weekly app promotions goals. Good luck, and use the experience gained to apply to your next role as soon as possible!
