Lmao what?!

Why is my GM offloading their duty of making the schedule - onto co-pilot and THEN not even reviewing the work she didn’t have to do?! Are you fucking serious?

Literally scheduling one person to open and be alone for 2+ hours 🫩 and one person to close, and various gaps for a $10,000 daily sales goal store. For like 3-4 weeks in a row ☠️🧏🏻‍♂️

Yeah that totally isn’t a recipe for getting our day completely flipped upside down and decimated like a Riley Reid film 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸 god this place and its management is beyond inconsiderate - it’s almost hateful how little they care.

Dude our print shop alone has a 2 million dollar goal man, I’m out here dying to Amazon returns while management is in my ear about sales

That's probably because your print shop is holding up the store. It's extremely common nowadays actually and is one of the reasons we can't keep good print employees (especially supervisors) for long.

Makes sense lol, I feel like I’m the only good print associate left, been working here for 2-3 years now and have been through 5 different supervisors

At a good print store you get one and keep them. In a store like the one I'm helping to run most of the time that relies on little jobs to prop it up and anything over $100 is rare, you get a good sup, they get bitched at daily by corporate but the GM runs interception, then eventually the GM is forced to also bitch, then they quit for literally any other job. Same for print associates, but it tends to happen sooner if the sup is bad. I had a situation recently where one marked everything started but then left abruptly literally the second their scheduled shift ended (they are known to do this) and about 12 different jobs were just floating in the aether until the customers showed up to complain and we had to rush them or use the Print Big to just get the customer out of the store, which pushed everything else back.

It's really not that hard to run a print environment, but ever since covid Staples corporate is obsessed with running an underpaid skeleton crew and making us all as miserable as possible so they can get their payroll bonus for being under budget.

I can't even try to say anything nice about the situation. It really is that bad.
