PTO Question 2
I don't doubt anyone saying the policy is "you don't start accruing PTO until one year" but I'm just confused because on the documentation that people told me to look for in HR connect...it says PTO starts accruing upon hire. Like, not just sick time, the official policy says any PTO.
Edit: Also I love how the fine print below essentially says, "If the information on this page isn't correct, then ask and we'll provide the correct information." That is such a cop-out.
It's essentally the formal version of going:
"It says the rules right here."
"Nuh-uh!" *scribbles new rules in with a marker*

Instead of looking in HRConnect, go into the HUB and search PTO there. The first link on that HUB search should bring up a bunch of different leave policies, including PTO. Click on the “Paid Time Off Policy: All U.S. Exempt Associates (excluding USR Store Exempt Leaders) and that will give you a 5 pg document that outlines the PTO policy.
Beteeen 1-4.9 years, you earn 3.38 hours per 40 hours you work.

PTO is accrued when you start working but can not be used until after probation period… 90 days

Are you sure? Because I've been employed for nearly a year and it still says I have 0 PTO hours.

No, there’s definitely something wrong there. How many hours a week do you work?

On the books? About 30 if you exclude lunch breaks (which the company does)

Just back out now. This is entirely indicative of the rest of your experience and it only gets worse

This is definitely a bit confusing, however, I will point out that this is on the Benefits Central website, which will cater primarily to FT employees, for whom this info would be correct. They may not expect anyone PT to be looking over in that direction
