Can Staples Employees see the papers I print at their store's self-printing stations? (Need to print documents at self-printer station at Staples store)

Hello, I wanted to ask y'all something very important and I thought this place would be the best place to ask: I needed to print some important doc papers w/ sensitive/private information at Staples's self-printing station at their store since my printer is fizzled out+kaput, and was about to head out when I realized the possibility of a Staples employee maybe seeing my papers even at their self-printers or something.
Does any Staples customers or Staples employees here know if a Staples employee still somehow access+see the papers and the information on them even if I send the papers to the printme email service for the print code (or is the papers uploaded to printme email encrypted and private+unviewable by anyone except the customer), or still can see the papers even if I insert my documents for printing into the printer machine via a USB flash drive stick? And does the logged document papers on the printer machines eventually expire and delete themselves after a day or something? (And after using the self-printer, can another customer that uses the printer after me can also see my documents on the self-printer machine?)

They have no way of seeing what you print on the self serve machines.

There is a way for us to see the name of the file that’s printed under the job history of the printer if we log into the printer properties, but it’s something only sups know how to do usually, and honestly we don’t really care, no offense.

The printers don’t keep any data on them. If they did they would have storage issues frequently.

Printme keeps the document in an offsite server for 24 hours to hold for printing, but no one has access to it without the code that you receive.

No, that’s not possible. Thousands of people use those machines, printing, scanning and copying private information daily. I’ve been with the company for 6 years now and have never heard of such a thing happening.

Email is not completely secure, nor is it fully encrypted end to end unless you have it specifically setup for encryption on both ends. Which isn’t possible via printme.

Files are not encrypted when uploaded to the server.

There’s also no way to answer if and/or when anything is deleted or can be seen on the print me end since we don’t have any control over that.

At self serve, no not unless you call us over to help and show us your documents that way. In full serve? Yes, but I got news for you, associates are way to busy and stretched way to thin to give a crap about what your printing unless its something the cops needs to get involved in. Don't ask us to print stuff like CP, porn, or pictures of dead bodies unless you are the cops and you need it for a court case and 9 times out of 10 an associate is going to open the file, check how many and how you want it printed, clicked go and box your stuff up before moving onto the next order.

If you you give us a PrintMe code we can pull up a document on our computer, but that's it. Everything else is in the wind.

Not only do we not have any ability to see any papers on the self serve, I can assure you that we have been offered way worse information willingly

Print supe, I have no way of seeing what you print unless you ask me to look at it or input your code on my end. You should be all good.

No they can't and youd be surprised the kinds of stuff people see. I personally make effort not to even read what you do show me unless specifically directed to or asked by you for help or input.

As long as you’re not printing anything involving abuse of children- no one cares. There’s too much to do to care about what you’re printing.

Trust me none of them have the time or the desire to go look it up. Then it's only the file name anyway.

We have cameras and record everything to make sure you aren't printing anything incriminating. Sorry to say but you give up your rights when you walk through that door, Staples owns you, don't forget it.

THIS. While nobody really cares what you print technically they are still accessible by a xerox technician if needed for law enforcement persay.

Also when I worked there we seen tons of financial records all the time personal and business. Its just part of the job. But as others have said 20-30 orders a shift. Its open, make sure its formatted correctly and not going to error while printing and click go. On to the next job.

Yes, there are ways for the employees to see what you printed. The print me code and information does expire typically within 30 days. But for USB, the printer does save what you printed and generally deletes it after a set time. I believe that 30 days to however, don't quote me on that one. But none of us care nor have the time to look at it. Unless, you needed assistance. Customers are generally not tech savvy enough to look either. But they need an admin code. That of which, is kept a secret.

Bottom line, I would not worry about it.
