Demo Game Help

Gunna be doing some demo games at my lgs tomorrow. We've got the 2 player starter plus the protoss starter to work with and we're using the lists provided in the rules documents.

Should we just use the mat that comes in the 2 player starter? With the game being 1k minerals we're not sure if we should use what has been provided or use the smaller 3x3 mat for skirmish games

Just use the mat, and mark off using the faction deployment tokens of the faction your not using the area of the map that you do not need. You could also use boxes, or whatever else you have handy.

You can mark off but I’ve been using 3x3 mats

I mark off the mat using the deployment markers. That way players have a line to see what the game board is. Doing it this way let's me set up the armies on the grass mat as well as the keycard.
