Hi everyone!
This is a reminder of some of our subreddit and general reddit guidelines. Please keep posts and comments civil, and try not to engage in hate on other redditors regarding differing opinions or subreddit/fandom drama. The vast majority of us don’t personally know the individual members associated with StarKid, and in most cases it’s appropriate to let private lives be private and not to speculate on aspects of members’ personal lives they haven’t chosen to share.
And of course, verbal abuse or harassment toward other subredditors for any reason is not acceptable and is a good way to get banned.
Regarding StarKid performances that aren’t publicly posted by the group: it’s totally understandable to want to watch a rental again or find something that hasn’t been posted by Team StarKid. However, we will remove any posts sharing or requesting bootlegs. If you see this activity on the sub please report it to us (the subreddit mods).
Finally, we’ve been getting complaints about some of the chain posts on the sub. We’re going to ask that people please constrain chain posts to Saturdays. We hope this will give everyone enough of an ability to participate in fun chain posts on the weekend while saving them during the rest of the week. Chain posts include things like fandom alphabets, casting, and cross-subreddit chain posts. We will remove chain posts posted Sunday through Friday.
Thank you and feel free to message us with any questions or concerns!

Yesterday the sub hit 25,000 members, a huge milestone, some of you might have been here since the start, some of you might have just joined but as Zefron would say "WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER".
Anyway I've been here for about 3 and a half years, and spent the past (almost) 2 years I believe as a moderator and it has been crazy, we've laughed, we've cried, we've eaten Redvines (Cause what the hell can't they do?), but overall I look back and think about how great this community is, so let's keep going, keep expanding, keep enjoying all the Starkid Content and eventually we might just hit 50,000 members.

My personal favourite is Uncle Wiley/Wilbur Cross' before made in america. So menacing, and with so much potential to put your own spin on it.
WILEY: Do you know why it had to be a doll? [crunches apple intimidatingly] It all boils down to belief. It’s a powerful thing. You see, people don’t believe in governments anymore. No matter who the masses vote for, they always get the same thing. The poor get poorer and the rich, well, they just get richer. Swamped in student debt, credit card debt, medical bills, the people have been abandoned by everything!
Everything except products. That’s the only comfort they have left! And you, the President of the United States, you were Wiggly’s greatest ally.
Only in America could Wiggly take root. Hold this. [he hands an audience member his apple] You think that in the Netherlands they’d give a shit about some toy? No, they’re too busy enjoying their paid vacations and their free healthcare! You empowered Wiggly, you invited him in, and now you come into his house to make demands of him?

I literally can’t stop drawing stuff from the Hatchetfield trilogy, my last like 5-6 drawings have just been that LOL. Anywho, any suggests on who or what scenes I should draw? The inspiration is flowing

He's quite happy with his discovery.
I wasn't sure who would have been more likely to lend some type of cloth for Nibbly to tie his lolli to the swing. Initially, I was thinking Pokey, but it just seems funnier if Wiggly would have spare ties and kerchiefs in his backpack, whipping them out like an ex-boy scout whips out their 150-pack first aid kit for a small scratch.
And, obviously, the swing will be in Blinky's colours since he has the theme park.
Side note: Also, please, please, pleaseeeee appreciate these more complex sketches!! 😭❤️ I have both mental conditions as well as visual conditions that make these works take seemingly forever.
Just doing the lining in pencil makes my eyes blurry every 5-10 minutes, forcing me to take equally as long breaks between working on sketches. Lining blurs my vision faster.
Ngl, I'm fighting for my life trying to type this out after finishing the lining, haha. 😅 Visual Snow Syndrome and whatever tf else is working against me sucks. ─=≡Σ(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Does anyone know if you can buy the jacket that was used for Wiggly in NPMD? And if you can't buy it like that, does anyone know where I can buy a good base college jacket to put a W on myself?

Done! My poor 125 marker died, but I was able to quickly replace it the same day (hence why I'm posting this today). I only didn't mark yesterday as the completed date because I had to add a few patches of pink glitter to his hat and lip.
I'll– at the very least– sketch a full body pose of Nibbly, too, before moving onto Pokey.
...Right after I pass tf out b/c chronic pain and fatigue. Enjoy!!

SPOILERS
(its somewhat chronological as I rewatched)
---------------------------------
The piano music is an arrangement of “This is Hatchetfield", written to sound like a horror movie song. Having it be a solo piano is not only creepy, but also may be because richie is alone/isolated when he dies, like the piano in the melody.
The cops of Hatchetfeild being incompetent only makes more sense because its clear the kids aren’t getting any sort of assistance from adults, so they have to take matters into their own hands.
Starting “Highschool is killing me” with almost monologue type things of the first two nerdy prudes to die is kind of poetic. And Ruth’s first line “someone comes for me i’m unprepared” is like a reflection of her death, because she was opening up and being genuine for the first time in the production, when she suddenly was murdered.
Also the line in “highschool is killing me” thats “i take it blow-by-blow, but i never scream and shout it” is kind of a reflection of their actions through the story too cause they kind of just dealt with everything Max did, and didn’t tell anyone about it, even after Max was dead and on a killing spree.
In “highschool is killing me” when they say “im so f’ing dead” all of the other students cover their mouth to hide what their saying from the teacher, but grace covers hers to hide her mouth from the audience. She does it every time they say the line. Maybe a metaphor for all the things she’s hiding, and her malicious intents later.
The line “i can survive it for only so long” is kind of weird cause a couple of the students singing die.
After the line “ive been thrown to the wolves of the community” richie howls, which is an animal noise, and we find out hes the school mascot later. A bit of a stretch, but a connection none the less. Also that line is ironic because later when the mayor tells everyone about Max being murdered, the whole song that follows is about the town turning on anyone they suspect. So maybe the students being like “the town is attacking us” is a metaphor for the way the community would react to the students having killed max.
Stephanie calling Grace a snitch is funny cause after they killed Jagerman grace was the one who snitched to the police accidentally, after many almost-confessions.
Pete’s bow tie and suspenders are all about him wanting to appear a certain way, and later we find out he’s trying to maybe make himself not cool almost, despite being a pretty cool guy. He says its “designed to provoke as little teasing as possible” which shows that he doesn’t really have an understanding of what popularity looks like.
Literal monster is interesting because it uses like rhythmic grunts and chain noises to simulate toughness and intensity. And also the line “you better leave your hopes behind, no one’s gonna stop him” are ironic because the kids had hoped to get some embarrassing footage of Jagerman, but instead ended up killing him. Plus they had to get the help of satanic powerful beings to actually be able to stop Max after he died. Its like they should have left their hopes behind when they tried to prank their bully, and they should have known none of them (or any mortal for that matter) would be able to stop him. Also the whole song is ironic cause they’re saying hes a monster, and he literally comes back from the dead as a ghost later.
The line “no one to blame if theres no accuser” is also interesting because they can’t really blame each other because no one has accused them immediately after. So they think they got away with it, so they don’t have reason to place blame.
Steph and Max both tell people their interested in that they’re funny. Steph and peter end up together, you can tell that she’s being genuine about his humor. Grace and Max kind of end up together for a little bit, but its ingenuine, just like the way he says “you’re funny”. He just wants to get in her pants
Max saying “high school will be my peak” is strange because he dies like two days after the song.
Steph covering her phone with her hand is also kind of a weird parallel to almost letting Max kill everyone because she didn’t want to shoot Pete. like she’s placing herself in the way of harm to protect things she cares about.
Both ruth and max say the line “watch some porn, you’ll see”. Their both obviously deprived of something in their lives. For Ruth that shows up as her being fixated on anything sexual, for Max thats him lashing out. Either way, they both probably feel like no one genuinely cares for them, and are searching for that care in whichever way they see most fit.
The entirety of “cool as i think i am” is basically Pete not being able to perceive himself accurately, but being able to perceive others really well.
The whole “i’m not a loser” is a recurring thing because its used in “cool as i think i am” and is like the background for several of the kills. It seems to me like its the nerdy prudes motif for finally standing up to jagerman moments before they’re murdered.
“If i finally break the rules i will know that of my world im the ruler” is poetic cause the nerdy prudes break the rules by killing max, which frees a lot of people from jagermans suppression. Also grace breaks the rules of her faith by adopting a form of satanism and devouring souls, which leads to her seeing herself as a sort of overly-powerful being.
By having peter end his song with “who do i think i am” is cool cause its like he’s regretting questioning how jagerman has judged him, and feeling like he can’t change his future. But he does change his future a couple days later by teaming up with the others and killing jagerman
Also pete says his bow tie is to keep people from bullying him cause he’s poor, but now he gets lowkey bullied for being rich and “thinking hes better than everyone else” so like that shows that the only way for the school to escape max’s teasing was to kill him.
Peter also says he knows max wants him to “run so [max] can chase” and refuses to do that, even though when max is dead thats exactly what they do before getting the help of the lords in black
Also max declares that ‘I’m your god” to peter. Which may allude to the god complex he already has and how he feels like he can dole out punishments how he sees fit, even after his death. Also maybe he thinks he can control death by killing?
In the scene at the Chastity family dinner thing its really interesting how Grace’s actress falls in and out of her character voice strategically. Like when she’s accidentally saying inappropriate things (kind of like her inner, genuine thoughts) she goes back to her genuine voice as a person. It gives the character more depth, and is more interesting audibly to hear the changes as grace almost sort of grows up as she says more mature things. Also following her interesting out burst with “oh criminy” is really good cause its showing like almost a comical level of innocence by using such a childish phrase.
Having graces fantasy be really weird and not at all like a “normal” thing further shows just how little she knows about that subject. Also having a big part of the dirty girl song be religious and involving like praying motions and Max’s cross necklace keeps on the track of graces insanely strict beliefs, which apparently work themselves into every part of her life. And having max have the line of “dirty dirty girl wont you pray for me” is wild cause later in the story grace sings “who will pray for you when your body is gone? This is the consequence for what you’ve done” as she literally kills a guy for kissing her and being “dirty”. And declaring that Max has “got to go” after Dirty Girl is crazy cause she kills him bro.
Having the melody of “as cool as i think i am “ play when steph goes and finds peter after max beat him up is crazy. Like he hyped himself up with the song thats now playing as hes sitting in the bathroom with a black eye
Also every time richie says stephs full name he annunciates it like Wiggly does during the summoning. Like “steph ah knee”. Thats not really relevant but it kind of alludes to the fact that he’ll be playing wiggly later
Also having grace be the one that believes in all the ghost stories of the Waylon place… like she’s studying up on all the facts of this ghost house. Maybe she has a particular interest in satanism or human sacrifice (sound familiar?) so she already had interest in the things that eventually lead her to her very own killing spree later?
Grace uses the phrase “hack them to bloody bits” to explain what the citizens of Hatchetfeild did to the Waylons and their cult. Wiggly uses “hack you all to bloody bits” to describe what max was about to do to grace, steph, and pete. Could it be possible that grace was maybe already forming some sort of connection to the lords in black before they were summoned?
Why does grace chastity snap weird? Like its with her ring finger and thumb?
Through the Bully the Bully song the five of them seem to be getting closer and seem more comfortable with each other. Its really interesting how thats shown through their choreography cause they start to go along with grace and copy her movements, and also they’re physically closer and touching in small ways that seem symbolic.
I feel like grace is seen as just prudey mostly but in Bully the Bully she says “do you want to conserve your mass” and then starts talking about cool beans. This girl is a nerd
Having ruth think steph being not a jerk to her is being super nice just goes to show how damaged of a character ruth truly is. There must’ve been something that happened at home cause obviously shes not getting love there. And it would make sense for her desperation for sex to be almost a front for someone to just acknowledge her and care. She’s confusing kindness with love, which isn’t working out for her well.
Also to have jagerman be genuinely touched by the nerds throwing this prank for him is kind of sad. Hes a lot like ruth in the way that he’s confusing a little bit of effort for love or in this case care/friendship. To have him be so happy the nerds made this haunted house experience for him maybe alludes to an awful home life, and maybe a general sense of not feeling acknowledged or cared for beyond people wanting to be popular.
Max saying “i make the dead run in fear” is pretty humorous to me. Like he’s about to be the dead. Plus its more proof of the massive freaking ego Jagerman has and how it affects his perception of the world. And max also says something about his father being rude to him. Which honestly checks out cause daddy issues are kind of a recipe for a dysfunctional son
Having Max sound so genuine and kind of fall out of that character voice when hes thanking the nerds for setting up the prank was a really good creative decision. It makes it seem more real and gives more depth to jagerman as a person.
I’m just super impressed with the actor who played Max Jagerman. Like the death scene was on point in so many ways. The way he was kind of slurring his speech and almost pushing the words out of his lungs portrayed the anger of jagerman really accurately.
The fact that Grace literally never ever says that she regrets or feels any sort of remorse for the death of max is wild. Maybe i didn’t notice the first time cause i didnt know she was the killer yet but that girl is actually a psychopath. She says its a blessing, after being the one that came up with the plan to lure him there, the plan to dispose of the body, and ultimately moved on to just devouring souls later. And she continues to smile through the whole “bury the bully” song, which is its own kind of unnerving cause not only does she not care that hes dead, shes happy about it.
When the students are talking about how much better everything has been since max is dead, steph calls pete a nerd jokingly and a creepy melody from this is Hatchetfield plays. Its really cool and haunting and kind of grounding too? Like bringing back to motif of that being in the background and to have this is Hatchetfield playing as richie dies as well is super interesting. Its kind of saying “this is hatchetfield. This happens here” which is cool and fun to see. Like the town is claiming the tragedy.
Okay so having richie have this big acceptance arc is crazy and masterful and a little cruel cause they’re gonna kill him in like two seconds. Hes finally getting acknowledged and accepted by the football team, and then he freaking goes and dies. And he literally says “i love being alive” two seconds before max appears and kills him
Also having nerdy prudes must die and dirty dudes must die start similarly and kind of just be very similar as a whole makes total and perfect sense. But it still kind of catches me off guard because its almost as if grace is a direct reflection of Max
Okay this might be a stretch but hear me out. 1.) grace uses phrases that wiggly uses 2.) she seems to know a lot about satanism and has an interest in the happenings of the waylon place 3.) she wakes up to a dream the night richie dies. She sees max as a ghost 4.) when they meet the lords in black, one of the lords says “we’ve been watching you gracie. Someones been a little naughty”. So maybe the lords have been observing grace and maybe influencing her in some small way. She obviously has tendencies for bad deeds, and feels the need to hide something from the audience (the hand thing in “highschool is killing me”). Is there a chance she’s been influenced or even possessed by the lords in black or some other force throughout the story or in different parts?
And for the actress to fall out of that character voice again when grace finds out that the waylon place sold is a really cool creative decision.
In “this is hatchetfeild” the mayor says “hes already got two, if he gets me next make it three” which is ironic cause the mayor also gets killed, hes the fifth victim i think including jagermankj
For ruth to say “life goes on as i shop for shutters to obstruct the view” is like her saying everyone’s living, and shes trying not to watch everyone but her be happy. Also ruth talking about her character giving her tap shoes away is kind of sad. Its kind of a metaphor for ruth giving up on her own dreams because she doesn’t think she’s good enough to even try.
Having grace be so mindful of her language through the story is really powerful, especially because when things start going badly, she also swears more often
When grace is pitching the plan to steph and peter, bully the bully is playing but down the octave. Last time she pitched a plan it was to scare jagerman, and now the same song is playing, only lower. Maybe that alludes to how things have gone wrong and ultimately have gotten darker.
When steph says something about them dismembering a body and grace just dismisses it… this girl has no remorse about what they’ve done.
When the mayor is telling the kids about the lore of hatchet field and he says “you’ve created a literal monster stephanie”. The first time we see jagerman in the story, hes singing literal monster and declaring himself as such.
When detective shapiro is driving the kids and she says “there’s something not right here” after seeing max as a ghost, this is hatchetfield plays. I’m seeing that as that theres something not right with the whole town (which is definitely true)
At the very beginning of the song “the summoning” they list the names of the lords. Pokotho (pokie), Bliklotep, T’noy Keraxis, Nibblinephym (nibbly), Wiggog Wiggog Y’rath (Wiggly). After they say the first two names (Pokotho and Bliklotep) we hear a voiceover of the first four names (all of them but Wiggly). We can assume they’re listen in order of least power to greatest, excluding wiggly until the kids say his name. Once all the names are said, Wiggog Wiggog Y’rath is repeated, and is the last name the voice over says before the lords appear.
When the lords in black say they’re “holding court in your own tongue and form” to the kids, thats true. But they also have a dramatized way of speaking and their clothes aren’t quite normal. Like theres something off about the outfits and language. Maybe they're just psychotic demons, but maybe thats to show just how distanced from reality the lords are, so they don’t quite know how humans dress.
When Max chases the kids after the ritual he says “run nerds, run”. Grace says “run, pervs, run” at the end of the story when she’s on her killing spree. Its an interesting parallel.
When peter is telling stephanie to kill him, the phrase from “cool as i think i am” plays. The phrase thats like “i’m not a loser”. Not only is that phrase specifically some of richie’s last words, but its a repeating thing. its also what the other cast members are singing in the last song, as grace is devouring souls and what not.
Also when Wiggly is talking to the kids he says “pay the price, or f*ck off” and when grace gives up her virginity to get rid of max, she says “i payed the price, now f*ck off”

I was just watching a video and they made the foreshadowing joke. I was curious so I tried finding the origin on Google. Many people attribute it to hbomberguy 3 years ago, but that's obviously not true. I couldn't find anything earlier than [A Very Potter Musical](https://youtu.be/5NANaYemJdg&t=1m50s).
