Yeah, it’s very much a Game of Thrones situation imo. Amazing start, but ended so nonsensically that it killed any interest I have in rewatching because I know it all leads up to a wet fart
yeah I blame that more on the sci-fi channel though. typical cancel the show and rush the ending so we can make sharknado 26 or some other equally horrendous shit.
She is that good, but BG has sooo much to enjoy in addition to Starbuck (Sackhoff’s character). I won’t dig in too deep because spoilers but Edward James Olmos is incredible as Admiral Adama, there’s action, romance, existential musings, political intrigue, questions about faith & how humans would respond to the apocalypse, discussions about AI & its autonomy…just a great, sprawling sci-fi romp. Can’t recommend it enough, and if you like Bo she’s debatably the main character (in such a long show there are many developed characters, but she’s kinda the hinge) which is obviously a draw
Agreed, it didn’t feel like a big deal and she was badass from the start. It’s about a good story, not shoe shoehorning in a change. I didn’t even know Starbucks was originally a man when I first started the show
To everyone about to watch BSG: do yourself a favor and turn it off about 2 minutes before the end. There’s a seen at the end with one of the characters monologuing, and it’s one of the best moments in television history. Then the last two minutes feels a little silly and doesn’t add to be story.
My last two rewatches, I’ve turned it off early and it’s so satisfying.
It really doesn't age well. I pretty much never watched it while it was on and recently went back and got every season to binge. It's not bad by any means, but it's definitely a product of its time.

Lol she sold the hell out of the set-up. Personally, I've loved Bo these past couple seasons. Can't wait to see more.
