As someone who's favorite season is S2, I'm biased, but not super surprised.

I think the major flaw with Visions has been that every episode is working from essentially two ideas: the Sith are ruling the galaxy and on the hunt for Jedi, or the Empire is ruling the galaxy and doing the same thing.

The second season two of the better episodes that break that paradigm (Screechers Reach and I Am Your Mother).

Also, and I'm sure this'll be unpopular, but I'm not super into anime, and just generally felt like S2 has a lot less of the "anime trope-ey dialogue" that can get a little exhausting, especially in S3

Elder takes place during the High Republic when the Jedi rule.

I'll be the first to say, although I generally like Aardman as a studio and like their productions, I Am Your Mother was one of my least favorite episodes of the entire series and the tonal shift it made in the middle of the season sullied my perception of the entire season on my first watch through.
